Man, you’re excitable.

I don’t support Kelly, either, but calm down.

The LSU Blue Dog lapel pin is a branded LSU product and has been around since 2011. Rodrigue’s Blue Dog is wearing a LSU football jersey. Sales of the LSU Blue Dog help support the LSU Museum of Art.

They’re available in prints, lapel pins, wooden plaques, etc.

I’ve bought them as stocking stuffers and also seen them in the wild as I travel around the US on business. Hell. I’ve seen them while in Europe on business. They’re cool… Louisiana, LSU, LSU football, LSU Art Museum. And nearly everyone likes the Blue Dog.

Hmm, a few things that this thread makes me wonder about

1. My understanding is Kelly took 1 day off to go shopping with his wife at her request.

2. What does him taking a vaction day during the bye week, which was 3 weeks ago have to do with right now?

3. LSU won the game after the bye week. Maybe he should go on vacation every week. Definitely the bye week before te Bama game.

Absolutely not during the season. There’s 10 million reasons why the answer is hell no.

First off, we are the only team with a pulse that hasn’t kicked south Carolina’s arse. So congrats to Sandals Kelly on whatever that was we witnessed against Carolina.

Second, if the people who in the know are angry and write the checks then I am angry. This is a culmination of Brian Kelly being notorious for not being present, not simply because he’s slaving away at the ops center and desperately needed some break. That’s a bunch of bullshite.

No one cares if you think others are lying. People who actually know what’s going on are sounding the alarms that Kelly is lazy as frick. In fact a few have been alluding to this since day one.

Okay to be fair this is not an uncommon occurrence. Now Nick Saban had a house on the lake so his vacation would just be there to recharge the batteries but a lot of Coaches take a small family/trip/vacation/break on the bye week. That doesn't mean he doesn't attend the practices they do have but they usually have off Friday-Sunday of the bye week.

This is not the story you think it is.

Are we going to keep pretending Killy has been slaving away and has earned a lengthy vacation?!? Insanity.

I’m not going to pretend that I have some irrefutable proof that he has not been working hard.

This is the point where the Rant tosses out a lot of theories and rumors.

It’s a total non-story if you’re winning and things are firing on cylinders.

It only becomes a story (and part of a bigger narrative) when the program isn’t meeting expectations.

And spend more money on better players. That’s certainly an option. Just understand most of those young hungry up and comers fail when they get their shot. Good thing is, it’s cheaper to move on.

I guess he went to the Bill Belichick school of coaching.

Something tells me this is not the first time he's done this crap. Since he spends a large part of his time in BR at the golf course, he probably found a nicer one on some remote island that he had to go play in the middle of the season, even though his team sucks!

The funny thing is this isn’t even breaking news. BK flat out said on Finebaum the Monday after the bye week that he went on a vacation

I have to agree with this...recharging the batteries is a good thing...and we won the next game so not sure why this is a big deal.

What kind of vacation are we talking about. If it’s just a quick weekend getaway while no team activities are going on who cares

Saying he went on vacation could mean a ton of different things we need some more details

Who exactly are "people in the know"????? Making up things on a message board is lame.

"A guy in the know from On3"

I out on Kelly as well for the record. Just not going to sit here and get mad over something that probably isnt true.

Do accountants get to take PTO during tax season? I know a few and they definitely do not.

I think it may be common for coaches to take Saturday and Sunday off during a bye. Anything more than that is unacceptable.

No one cares about this kind of stuff until you start losing around here, then all the warts get exposed.
