This is like George not being quick witted enough to be able to come up with a funny retort on the spot and blurting out “Oh yeah, well I had sex with your wife!” then laughing to himself and looking around at the room for approval while everyone else looks on in awkward silence because the guy’s wife just died.


Kid needs to keep her mouth shut if she isn’t clever enough to trade barbs on the spot without crossing a line of respect.


Glad Kelly has the personality to be able to deal with idiots like these on a daily basis and handled it like a professional.

There is a clear national narrative against Kelly since leaving Notre Dame. Even though I’m sure it was unintentional, this woman fed into that fire as now this becomes a story that “Kelly doesn’t have the respect of the local media…..chaos in Baton Rouge!!”


It was an absurdly stupid moment of disrespect and she deserves to be called out on it by her employer, not to mention Kelly himself although he handled it with grace, although I’m sure her boss is a similar self important “journalist” that only cares about the clicks this will give his pathetic rag of a newspaper.

Kelly should never recognize her and let her wither on the vine.

She made a TicTok about it yesterday saying that she meant it as a joke. But you don’t make jokes like that right out the gates after the first game and expect the coach to not be pissed. Saban would’ve flipped his lid

TV news has gotten far far worse though with the 24 hour news cycle and unabashed political agendas of networks.

I just looked her up. She’s definitely young and a cancer survivor. She said she was running late from a doctor’s appointment, fwiw.

However, these conferences are for the media to present their questions for Kelly’s comments. Trust me, there’s a billion other things he’d rather be doing. This is a once a week thing that he’s contractually obligated to do. If you’re a media reporter or “beat writer”, get there on time. This isn’t Miles or O where they casually stumble in late and so forth.

You can't tell me her dr appt can't be scheduled around this weekly press conference at the same time every week.
If you have a dr appt that can't be missed you tell your employer you can't make it and you can view it online to gather any insight for your next article.
