It’s really weird to me how many people are defending her. I think it’s partly because she is a woman, and partly because Brian Kelly seems to be not a well liked guy by media and fans.

She’s a fricking beat writer who basically said to the coach “we’ll talk when you win you loser”. She completely disrespected a coach trying to rebuild the program she covers, and added on to all the national media already laughing at him and the school.

Then another beat reporter comes off the top rope to mock the guy, call him a loser, and say the program sucks. I don’t understand what’s happening. I don’t understand the fans who are cool with this.

This feels like a make a list of names type situation for when Kelly turns this program around.

Nah. Just don’t answer her questions, or give one word answers. I’m ready for Kelly to start being a dick and tell his players “it’s us against the world”. Just be an arse to reporters. Don’t take shite like this. He tried to play nice and got shite on for it.

He made a silly joke that meant nothing. She, the beat reporter for the school, publicly humiliated the school and its coach, adding fuel to the fire of the national media already mocking said school and coach.

In what world has the beat reporter’s job ever been “hey coach maybe win a game then I’ll care more about doing my job”? And this is after one fricking game.

This has little to do with her being a woman. In fact it is more likely she felt comfortable making such a comment because she is a woman and thus can get away with it by simply crying sexism if held accountable.

In the end, your personal life should not interfere with meeting work obligations, even if it is healthcare. If she was not sure she could make it in time, than another reporter should have gone in her place. Simple as that.

Instead m, she is trying to au victim and while I am happy for her she survived cancer, it is no excuse for failing to meet her obligations now.

So people aren’t defending her because she’s a woman, but she felt comfortable making the comment because she’s a woman? But this has little to do with her being a woman? But she knows she can cry sexism if held accountable for something?
