re: Brian Kelly on LSU's run game: 'We gotta be hard-headed and impose our will'

But him saying that doesn’t really mean anything

Obviously depends on who we are playing if you can control the clock and run the ball at will, that’s great. But Clemsons Dline is supposedly good.
That quote kinda gives me vibes of Les for Bama week and his “attack their strength” quote. Just comes off as stubborn. And didnt work out well for us.
I agree we’ll have to run the ball to win, but I don’t agree with doing it on obvious downs. I think as long as we have Nuss and our receivers, our philosophy should still be pass to set up the run.

They pretty much said the same thing last year before the USC game and got their shite pushed in. I like the attitude though and maybe he’s trying to send a message to Sloan and the o line. I hope it works.

Well that rang a bell from the past

Watching any given Saturday. This guy just doesn’t inspire his team. I hate to say that.

we have to impose our will on you.
This is what every coach anywhere wants to do
But since an LSU coach said it, LSU fans hate it.

The defenses will beg us to run it. There will be no box. No D will worry about us opening holes and imposing our will. Every D will be aligned to deal with Nuss's arm. We rushed for only 1,500 TOTAL yards last season. We rushed for 49 yards against Nichols with a veteran line. Nobody is worried about our ground game.

the reason hes saying this is because of all the talk from moscona talking to Cole cubelic and making a huge deal out of what he said.
if you havent seen it ,Cole said that the reason we couldn't run last year was because he didnt try . the coaches hear that shite and respond from time to time

They averaged 4.5 YPC, how is that "getting your shite pushed in"?

He better not try to "Impose his Will" on the road against Clemson and force the run in the opening game. (Particularly so with that Offensive Line that can't run block) There's too many WR, RB and TE options to not use them. Throw it every down, move the ball and score points. Try the "Establish the running Game" BS against Southeastern the next week...............
Clemson’s DL should not be confused with the damn Purple People Eaters. Good grief.

Well we lost the game and when we needed to run the ball we couldn’t. 100 yds rushing isn’t exactly a dominant running attack and there was a 40 yd run that boosted that ypc. We lost to a 6 win team. After all our big talk pregame, yeah we got our shite pushed in.

This doesn’t sound good. Maybe BK is new school and realizes you can open the run game with the passing game.

Mostly because we let USC score right at the end twice.

When are you referring to?

Absolutely, but we also threw like 39 times. Probably should have leaned on the run game a bit more in retrospect.

How do you already know they can't run block?

As long as he’s thinking play action passes as he says that shite……I’m good wit it.

Aw, frick, I accidentally upvoted your retarded comment.

Well. That is kind of a different situation given that Kirby has won a championship.
He has more credibility.
BK will never get that kind of respect.
