Since you dont want to show your work, Sammy.
How is this for context. These are the drives LSU didn't receive the ball via turnover.
(plays-yards result)
10-75yds TD
3-8yds Punt
3-8yds Punt
3-2yds Punt
4-30yds Punt
1-75yds TD
7-37yds Punt
6-42yds FG
8-34yds FG Miss
13-74yds TO on downs
Come on Sammy, you are a lawyer, right?

One thing that has to be taken into account is that last season, Max Johnson was a brand new true freshmen right out of high school that had very few reps to transition from high school to the SEC because of the Covid Pandemic.
Furthermore, most new QBs make their largest improvements during their transition from year one to year two because the game begins to slow down for them and because their heads aren't constantly always spinning.
I'm willing to wager that Max Johnson is far better today than he was at anytime last season. Therefore, that Brennan vs. Johnson comparison is invalid because there is no way for it to account for the dramatic improvement that Max Johnson has made from year one to year two

We had 479 yards on 68 plays vs Missouri
We had 418 yards on 86 plays vs Florida
This shows LSU controlled the ball much better against UF versus Missouri by virtue of running more offensive plays. That is a key to winning.

If o was referring to max being the guy that they thinks best now and now just need h to prove it in camp , then Myles regressed.
The article just strengthens that for me because it puts numbers behind what, those of us that liked Brennan more ,saw.
Well that’s it on this for me, we’re not at practice and we just rehash the same stuff . This just put a little more umpf behind the way I was leaning
I think most are already tired of talking about it and it’s just gonna come down to Brennan’s mobility or lack there of. Wasn’t a ton before so even less could be just too much to overcome. Hopefully there’s not work ethic issues by either guy, that could muddy it up as well
I think both are gonna make us proud though and as long as we are serviceable at tackle and as long as that second saftey ,nickel corner, and two lbs are average, at least. We could have 1 -3 losses

Brennan will be the starter at the beginning of the season.

Do we take into account the play call at the goal line against Missouri? Brennan isn’t blocking on the goal line

What? No.

Agree.
To all the fantasy HC's that do not look at the whole and the big picture.
This team returns 19 starters which is probably the highest in the SEC. This is not a waste year on whims and ideas.
QB room scenario #1
5th yr senior with 3 starts
2nd yr fresh with 3 starts
True freshman no experience at all
QB room scenario #2
2nd yr fresh with 3 starts
True freshman no experience at all
Nothing else, zilch, nada...
So do we think the $15 million coaching staff, knowing the rest of the roster is loaded, is going to roll the dice coming out of fall camp on QB room secnario #1 or #2?
Granted this is not a waste year. If Brennan shits the bed early he gets the hook quick.

Quick questions for you: Do you think they want to run Joe Brady's offense, or do you think they are lying?

Well there’s 2 problems with your definition. 1- it appoints you the judge of “when plays are needed” giving you the liberty to bring up any play and designate it’s importance. 2- Johnson failed to “make the plays when needed” vs Florida but you’re using someone getting a dead ball personal foul on a thrown shoe to sell this idea. Like I said using an undefinable term as some substantial decider is simply an attempt to legitimize bias.

Joe Brady ran Joe Brady’s offense with Teddy Bridgewater.

I guess Johnson earned those though

He doesn’t apply equal standards to both QBs, never mind ignoring all the data on top of that.

LSU’s ended the game Sammy
Oh I guess That doesn’t count then.
And of course we drove 47 yards for a TD only because it started after a turnover on downs.
If your point is that LSU didn’t have any long sustained drives vs Missouri, you’re wrong.
If your point is that Max. Consistently drove the field, you’re wrong. He went 3 and out 6 times.
We scored 30 points on offense against Florida and 41 against Missouri, and they both had turnovers.
The difference is Our defense held Florida to 34 and Missouri scored 45.
You cannot evaluate Brennan’s performance outside the end result which was a team effort.

They bash Brennan for driving us down to the 1 vs Missouri but Max can’t get it past midfield vs Florida and he’s a hero. The worst thing about these wackos is they’re shitting on a player and possible starting QB. They’d prefer to be right than what’s best for LSU.

Still waiting on the posts that have me defending any stat of max Johnson

This is literally a thread comparing them. If you want to not compare them, this ain’t the fricking thread for you.

Well, two isn’t “any”, but it’s not very much. Considering the last one came away with no points.
