Brennan should have stayed in the portal.

I don’t mean this as a knock on the young man, I really don’t. I am hoping he balls out and wins the job.
But if what Myles desperately wants is a clear path to being a starter and to the NFL (which I think is a long shot to begin with), he needs to find an FCS program that needs a QB right now. He is not the best QB on this roster, and he will likely be holding a clipboard for much of the season.
He needs to bail now and go start throwing to his new receivers, whoever/wherever they are.

WTF is wrong with out fans?!?! I am glad Brennan stayed. It shows he is committed to LSU which means something now days when so many others are jumping ship. We all know what Brennan can do and he has the most experience of all QBs on our roster.

Easy to say, but he was looking at transferring into a 3-9 Southern Miss program. That was about his only offer. Competing for the position at LSU was much more appealing.

There is never a clear path. You have to make your own.

Can you people not understand that Myles wants to be at LSU, he obviously loves LSU.

IF he would've then you rantards would've bitched that CBK couldnt even get him back to LSU.
Y'all make life miserable...

Not the best on the roster? At the moment, yes he his! Like coach Kelly said, he knows the offense, makes all the throws, is accurate, and experienced. The only thing he isn't, is a dual threat. Daniels is a good runner, but inaccurate as a passer. And both Nussmeier and Howard are young.

If what Myles wants is a clear shot to the NFL, he needs to stay at LSU. If he can’t beat out Nuss and Daniels he won’t be playing on sundays anyway, and being the starter at LSU is 1000x more productive than playing at a fricking FCS school for getting scout exposure

I get the impression that CBK has one type offense for running capable QBs and another type of offense for pocket passers.
If so this kind of forces Brennan out. Brennan is more of a pure pocket passer. If Daniels starts and goes down Nusseier can sub and not much changes from an offensive philosophy. Nuss might not be as capable of a runner as Daniels but he is certainly a running threat and Denbrock does not need to make major adjustments for Nuss if Nuss is needed.

So you say this
Then immediately follow it with this
Also you have nothing that backs up this statement

Unfortunately Myles should have never been recruited by LSU. He was too slow and never had a SEC body. He should have gone to smaller school.

Myles is that faithful side chick that u need for cakes until the new girl shows you that she’s ready to be the one lol

I think Brennan can make a team in the NFL because he is a pretty good pocket passer. His game seems to be more suited for the NFL.
As I mentioned in my previous post in this thread Brennan is not only competing against Daniels and Nussmeier he is competing to change Denbrock's offensive philosophy.
SI on Denbrock's QB philosophy:
LINK
Brennan is the most pure pocket passer of the QBs. He can run but not as effectively as Nussmeier and Daniels.
Nussmeier can be both a pure pocket passer and running threat. He is a QB that looks to throw before running but is capable of running.
Daniels can be a pocket passer but will make the decision to run a lot quicker than Brennan and Nuss.
Based on offensive philosophy Daniels seems to fit Denbrock's system the most followed by Nuss. If Daniels starts and Daniels subsequently goes out, the issue for the offense that the offensive philosophy has to change for Brennan. That is a discontinuity problem. If Nuss comes in to spell Daniels not much has to change in terms of offensive philosophy.
This potentially leaves Brennan out.

SI on Denbrock's QB philosophy:
quote:
Mobile Quarterback/RPO
For most of his last 10-plus years, Coach Denbrock has utilized a mobile signal caller. This does not mean he has to be a truly elite athlete, but one that can definitely operate on the edge of the defense and scramble for a first down. Do not expect Coach Denbrock to recruit pure pocket passers based on his history.

I hope Myles throws for 4500 yards, 52 TDs and wins the Heisman.
Some of you people are insufferable.
