I think there's a good chance that there will not be "one guy" this year. Could see some platooning

It all depends how much success Harris would have given the opportunity. I don't think there would be platooning.

AJ came out after the half and was a different QB. There is a lot of potential in the young man.

Harris started a little shaky, but came on really strong. I was truly impressed with his mobility. Brandon made some really good decisions as the game progressed. He seemed to gain confidence and take command of the game. Great potential!!! Hard to believe he should be wondering what to wear to his senior prom.

Competition should be great! An interesting summer session.

Good luck to both.

When was the last time a true freshman started for any SEC football team at QB and that team was a contender for the SEC or National title?

Why the hell does that matter? I keep seeing this everywhere.

When was the last time a freshmen won a Heisman before Johnny (redshirt or not still first year starting)? How many since then? Things change chief.

Tebow was the difference for Florida's offense as a true freshman and they won the NC.

I dont think the Bolden move was premature. Hes been in the system and we have seen him at the QB spot.

I wish we would have somehow managed to keep Rivers here. At least until spring practice was over. Gave him a fair shot to compete against Harris and Jennings.

Yet that is the standard for this team. If Harris starts and LSU is not in contention for the SECw headed into the Bama game, then 75% of this board will be calling for AJ to be the starter and wondering why in the hell is was not the starter all along. In essence, you end up ruining Harris, mentally, right out of the gate. The coaches are not going to put him in that position.

ala JJ ?

False. It appears that for all of Harris' talent, he is so far behind in knowing what to do, that it will not be possible for him to win the job

It appears that you are wrong.

He will start. If you do not believe it, you do not know Les Miles. Miles loves athletic QB's. He even tweeted during the superbowl 2 years ago about the advantages of having a duel-threat QB.

The answer to the original question is FALSE. Clear starter tomorrow, not so fast.

However, I believe I will see BH walk out with the first team in Houston on August 30th

AJ beat out Bolden LAST year. Surely Bolden had zero chance this year.

From all the other sites that report paid or not this has been the common theme of the spring. One guy looks serviceable and the next day he lays an egg. Just like any starting QB we need consistency. Like some others has said it will bee week to week until the start of SEC play.

I believe Harris will emerge as the starter in the fall. He will only get better. All the tools are there for BH to become the next elite LSU QB. He will beat teams with his arms and his feet.

We also have the same potential talent coming in the fall with the new receivers.

The future looks very positive.

I say true. This dude has talent off of the charts. He is a talent. I think he will be the starter against Wisconsin and I think we will have an exciting offense. Thoughts?

It seems like he is the best qb on the roster , so he should start .....

get him and these young receivers working together now , and it should be a bright future...
