The coaches on offense are straight up terrible. 2 years ago we had the worst collection of defensive coaches in the conference and now we may have the worst on offense. It’s amazing that BK can keep hiring these spectacularly awful coaching staffs. It’s quite a feat.

Of course not. It's not just gonna all of a sudden click and them be able to run the ball.

The offense is what it is. I do not see it suddenly developing a credible running game. Why Nussmeier continues to make boneheaded decisions is truly an enigma. Has he learned anything?

Or maybe it's a listening problem. This generation isn't exactly known to have the greatest attention span.

I'm referring more so to the "we lack details" comment. For a head coach that talks about being detailed oriented every week, it's pretty concerning when your starting center comes out and says "we can't focus on the details and we have no clue why" in week 6 of the season.

Doucet asked about the kind of week Garrett has had preparing for this game… “He’s had a great week. The bye week was crucial for him and a lot of guys to get a little healthier.

Again, explain why Nuss played more than a quarter if at all against SLU? Make it make sense.

Doucet asked about what isn’t clicking in the rushing game…. “We lack details. We lack execution. I can’t tell you why that is. We’re trying to figure that out. We just have to focus in more” (Had to shake my head on that one)

Just got to read between the lines… He knows what/who is the problem but is not going to tell it to a reporter.

6th game in plus an off week and we are still Fd on the OL issues. Coaching issue. No chemistry on the OL. Look for more of the same BS.

Idk the answer, but my arse would have Carius Curne in the starting rotation. I think he’s physically superior. Put him at guard and let them block straight ahead. He moves people.

It's definitely a coaching problem. Brad Davis has been an OL coach in the SEC for nearly a decade and in that time his OL's rank 10th in the SEC in rushing yards per game as well as yards per carry. His lines have nearly always underwhelmed in run blocking. He's the constant.

Because people are just married to this idea that an offense cannot run efficiently without a mobile QB. You got bad routes from receivers, bad reads from tailbacks, an o line that can't block but a mobile QB suddenly makes it all better.

3 in the box should equal at least 5-6 yards per carry for RB. Equals 10-12 yards per carry for QB.

There is no way you think teams have been playing us with 3 in the box.

So it sounds like we are adopting the Hope and Pray philosophy again. Don't get me wrong, I am a strong believer in prayer, but with our struggles I was hoping we would be on the field practicing the things we are getting wrong until we can't get them wrong. Maybe we did. We will see Saturday. This sounds like we just had a Kumbaya moment and talked about everyone trying harder. For now, I will Hope and Pray my breakdown of the situation is incorrect.

They lack a mobile QB who is a run threat and makes running game easier.

Oh this bullshite again. We lack any semblance of a competent OL. Without that it doesn’t fricking matter who the QB is

The OL could be made of practice dummies and we call 100% passes and these Mobile QB people would still blame Nuss not running the ball.

“Make sure everyone is on the same page. Knowing the fundamentals and the technique used for the play."
After 5 games , if that isn't a complete indictment of our play design and especially our lack of Oline coaching....I simply don't know what is.

Lets' just get through this year and hire a near OC, WR coach, and by all means, a new Oline coach. If we don't, LSU is going to make a quick turn toward the bottom of the SEC. Talented offensive players simply will avoid coming to LSU....it is not hard to understand why.

We didn’t commit to the running game enough against Ole Miss but that doesn’t justify our 2.6 yards per carry against the worst rushing defense in the SEC.

I have a fundamental issue saying we didn't try to run enough or commit to the run against Ole Miss. Mascona keeps saying it and Hunt Palmer whose opinion I value more also said it.

My issue with that opinion is - very simply - we can't. So we need to keep running for 1 and 2 yards more often? Why, to keep the defense honest? Really? That's it? Does anyone really believed more failed run attempts accomplish this? Or that if we try 10 more times that we'll magically finally do better?

It IS scheme. the o-line is not confident and efficient in what they are doing as a group. And I honestly don't see evidence that they are getting better in their technique as a group or individually and that's a Davis thing.
