So you knew Tuckers offense was very bland? You knew his defense wasn’t elite. You knew it was likely down to these 3 guys Aranda, Napier, and Tucker? You knew Aranda was dedicated, dedicated to LSU and maybe too dedicated to Baylor to leave? So you knew Napier was going to be LSU’s next head coach? Damn! Why have you been holding out on us?

Yeah.

The fact that he said the Pelini defense was better than Aranda's 2019 defense leads me to believe he did tell Dave to leave.

Why would Ed feel the need to shite on Aranda like this? To prevent from receiving any blowback in changing defenses. Too late, Ed shite the bed!

LSU is like the freshly divorced good looking guy with a great job and lots of money in the bank. With a little leg work he could really have a realistic shot at just about any woman that's available, yet seems to be settling for the homely looking fat woman because of the convenience of not having to do any work to get her. That's how I feel they are treating the coaching search.

Ed believed his press clippings that he was the reason for 2019 and he could plug and play anyone with same results. He should’ve reviewed that IQ test back from the early 70s before any rash decisions.

no fricking way...if true frick off O. I seriously can't see this being true

What an absolute piece of shite. And now he gets 17 million to not coach at the job he fricked up at.

30 million?! That's absolutely insane.

That's what concerns me too. Inconsistent.

refer you to Ed O who also is at a much larger program

No… it actually does mean something

It’s part of a screening tool.

O had success not because but despite him. Sometimes that happens. He has personal problems that get in the way though and since 2019 he has gotten divorced, ruined a shining football team and embarrassed himself in private.

Mel Tucker carries none of that baggage

Napier could be the answer but he needs to work to a higher level before making this jump

Not only that. Now we’re going to go up to Aranda and ask if he can save us from Ed’s avalanche of disasters coaching which all started with him telling Aranda to take a walk!

It’has to come as a shock to Coach O supporters, Ed just became totally full of himself during and after 2019. That now is undeniable.

if he gets himself a strong coordinator this would be a dangerous program on the rise again.

Everyone made fun of the binder because it was predicated on LSU's success being directly linked to the best coordinators in the country. And you guys are all in for Tucker, or Aranda or anyone else who would have to be successful under those same pretenses? Have we not learned that any coach whose success solely relies on great coordinators isn't a risk worth taking?

In what way do you think LSU is not "working" to get their top target? Because a current coach at a top 10 team in the country with a chance at the CFB Playoffs hasn't quit his team in the middle of the season to accept the LSU job?

You hear fans on social media throwing out names and you assume those are the only names the LSU admin are trying to interview?

LSU may, or may not, end up hiring one of their first two choices, but if they do end up hiring a little farther down the list, it won't be for lack of effort.

I’d rather have a guy who can lock one side of the ball down and not have an ego about having “the joe brady offense” only. I’m not huge on Tucker, but Aranda has been here before and knows the recruiting land here and knows what it takes to be successful. Notice how we had such a hard falloff after he left?

If 4 is true, then Coach O deserves every bit of shite that has come his way since the 2019 championship.

We could've had Barry Odom...

If O really did tell Aranda to leave, you know that got around the tight-knit coaching community.

Word is that Barry Odom literally told Ed to go frick himself when he called him about the DC job.

Now we know why.

Every coach is going to need a counterpart on the other side of the ball.

Exactly, Aranda needs an OC, Saban needs an OC and is still hunting for an SP coach.
