Buddy just said LSU game has to wait 55 min after current game ends to begin. This accurate?

Need time to clear stadium. Let next game fans in. Teams warm up etc
Posted on 6/3/17 at 6:03 pm to swampdawg
Yep. From the NCAA manual:
quote:
Between the last out of the previous game and the start of the next game, there shall be a minimum of 55-minutes.
This will allow for a minimum of a 10-minute warm-up period prior to the home team taking infield.

Holy Cross just eliminated Nebraska in Corvallis.

They really need to have earlier start times for these elimination games. There is no reason why they can't start at eleven or so just to help get these games in. Everything is scheduled as if rain delays don't ever exist which is just asking for trouble.

Especially for the ones that are only on ESPN3. There cant be more than a few hundred to a couple thousand watching any of these games that don't involve a top tier SEC team.

TSU brings their flame thrower back out after the delay.

So, our game will not be starting on time I see.
eta: Could be worse, we could be playing in London.

I could understand a 55 minute delay if one of those teams had to play, but that's bullshite. They should give the crew time to prep field and teams to warm up and then just roll.
