Damn. I didn't realize Katrina was in '06. All these years I thought it was in 2005.

Vandy had a major distraction with one of their pitchers drowning.

I'd still bet on Vandy winning that regional. Its a feel good story waiting to happen.

Since I haven't been following this thread, I'm not sure if you're serious. But Katrina was 2005 as well as hurricane Rita. Gustav was 2006.

Damn it's hard getting old. I was trying to do that from memory didn't look in the good old Google! It just seems like we had so many storms in a row that it's hard to remember. Hell in 2005 we had 2 that July before Katrina on the Lakefront.

It's still raining and thundering in the 3800 block of Burbank so it's still raining at The Box.

Wow.

Apparently, losing that kid really affected them. So tragic.

Can't tell if serious? Of course it did. They lost a teammate less than 48 hours ago.

Probably spend more time with teammates than they do with family and other friends. Think of all the practices, travel to away sites and being together in the dugout for 35+ home games.
