I wonder if at least part of the secrecy is Coach Kelly testing for leaks.

This is my thinking also.

BK was asked about keeping both guys invested and interested.

He said basically it won't be hard because they won't have time not to be, it won't be a put your helmet under the bench situation.

It will be a keep your helmet in situation, because you may get in the next play.

(Paraphrasing of course)

That sounds to me like a rotation or situational system

There is an additional advantage.

CBK showing who runs this team.

This makes no sense. If there was any pressure it would be for someone to say who it is.

It makes perfect sense. Not announcing who the starter is publicly limits the pressure on the starter because they don't have to deal with the media circus that comes with being named the starter the week before a game. Allows them to focus on the game.

Yeah, we're going to be running a 2 QB system

I bet it looks a lot like Tua / Hurts at Alabama a few years ago. Give both opportunities the 1st few games and then stick with the better player through the meat of the schedule.

I read somewhere that he has a 4.5, but he looks more 4.4 to me also.

I was told he still hasn’t told the team. As of yesterday 1st team reps were still split 60-40 in Daniels advantage

Team didn't practice yesterday so it was 0-0

I really have to feel Nuss would have transferred by now if he was a risk. I feel like the starter is probably pretty obvious in the locker room. Even if he hasn’t technically told the team. If he transfers, it’ll be after the season. I feel like the media is making a huge deal out of nothing. Again.

I think Nuss truly believes if he’s not the starter yet, he will be before the end of the season. I doubt transferring is on his mind at all. Nuss and Daniels will probably be competing throughout the season. Good, bad, or indifferent.

I wonder if some of y’all have ever played competitive sports

It doesn’t matter what the public thinks or when we find out. The guys in the QB room know exactly who the starter is, yet you simple minded fricks just won’t stop going back and forth over it

Ouch. The dreaded "Oh, huh!" comeback...
Whew, you sure told him.

And what exactly is "a shite more ton", anyway?

Based on this, sounds like he's implying there's an injury LSU is trying to hide so there's no advantage in revealing who the QB is until the game to make them prep for both despite other one not being on the table? Or they're just mad they don't know who it is and are out of the loop for clicks.

The starter is Daniels. He has more game experience and can get out of trouble with his feet. New coach, new offense, new OLine you need the advantage of a qb who can run and avoid sacks and make something out of nothing.

He will have to falter and as the offense and OLine starts to gel Nuss may get a shot in a more proto typical drop back or Joe burrow type offense
