This young man is fantastic. However he will be at LSU only 2 more years as per his interview after the game. LSU has got to QUIT recruiting for the next level. If not they will never be a consistent top tier program as BAMA! This is not supposed to be a semi pro league!

Agree, but NFLSU marketing itself solely as an nfl farm system has lead to a culture of cut and run that has progressed beyond 1st round talent. We’ve had udfa level talent leave early.

Guys like Boutte will only ever be here for 3 years. The guys you don’t want leaving after 3 are people who aren’t 1st or 2nd round talent. Those are the guys we can’t continue to lose early.

Seriously. If you were a college football player who was projected as a 1st round pick after your 3rd year in college, would you risk the millions and the chance of reaching your ultimate goal to play for free another year?? Most wouldn’t And I don’t blame them. If they are first round talent after 3 years, they should go.

It's not a problem recruiting for the next level. It's a problem if you don't have proper backfill. Ya gotta have significant guys coached up with meaningful snaps to take over. That's recruiting. Character guys, who are not looking to transfer because they are not on the field the whole game.
