Do want guys good enough to leave after 3 years or do want 2-3 star guys who have no choice but to stay and a record that proves it?
LSUs problem isn’t that they recruit NFL talent, it’s that they can’t keep the guys who are marginal nfl talent.

Bama has guys that aren’t sure fire 1st rounders come back because they know they’ll be in the mix for a championship. LSU tends to have bigger dropoffs, guys know it’s coming and declare.
Better roster management and hiring better coordinators will mean more consistent winning, which will entice juniors to return and play for championships.
