Honestly. It does look like it's possible he didn't know the guy was down.

I mean. It's also possible it was just a flagrant cheap shot

It's just not definitive.

The worst cheap shot I've probably seen was post-game when Blount punched the Boise St player.

Ya, but Blount is dumb enough to go on the show and punch so he's scared.

Anything more than a game is way overkill. Dude from USC should be suspended for more games than Boutte.

The hit in the Texas game wasn't a cheap shot...... It was helmet to helmet but not intentional.

Part of the problem which Miles is responsible for, undisciplined!

I'm inclined to give the guy a pass on this one. How can he be expected to follow what's going on during a play when the coaches don't seem to know what's going on either? Probably need some practice time this week dedicated to explaining the different rules for being down in college and pro. We also need a ref in this week to blow his whistle.

A 1 or 2 game suspension is fair, suspending him for the whole season is retarded and anyone calling for that is crazy.

Right, I don't think he should get more than 1 game.. however I haven't seen all the looks of the replay.. and really only he knows the truth.

Dude go watch the replay. He saw the interception. He forearm neck tackled the guy. Don't be dumb.

It was really too bad that he did that. If he had played with that level of I resort between the whistles they may not have lost the game.

Boutte should get the same. Definitely not more.

That's way too harsh. I think it's believable that he heard someone from the sideline scream "clock it" and in all the commotion, he thought he heard "clock him". There was a lot of confusion out there all game.

Why would other teams do that?

Yeah is that what they told on the purple and gold radio station?

It's bullshite, he's a thug and what he did is indefensible but apparently it won't stop some of you from trying.

Worst case scenario he knew exactly what was going on and did it because he lost his composure. So knowing that, it's easy to determine what the max punishment should be.

It was a stupid thing to do, and he could have seriously injured the guy. But that being said, it's not exactly the most egregious thing to ever happen on a football field.

weird term.

Not so weird, BHP, when you consider we call terrorists "cowards" when they risk, and even sacrifice, their lives. "Coward" has been debased the way "literally" has, by a semi-literate media pandering to an even worse, Brondo-drinking audience.

It's possible that he forgot it was game day and just mistook it for a big cat drill. There was a lot of confusion out on that field

I saw a screen play early in the game where he was facing Harris the whole time the play was being run. Just not sure if he's the smartest tool in the shed.

Wrong. I have Mike and Mike on, and they just showed replay of the play. First off, he's not even fricking blocking anyone in the clip. When BH rolls slightly to the left, Boutte's eyes are on BH, so when BH throws the ball his eyes would naturally follow the ball. JB didn't get much PT last year after being penciled in as a starter, and Les said "he hasn't put it all together" which is probably Les speak for he lacks maturity.
