It's possible someone yelled "you get a free snowball after the game" and he mistook it for "you get a free shot at this downed runner if he sticks his hand in the air." It was confusing out there all game.

I agree with the word coward.
He blindsided a player half his size. I wish he could have manned up when he was blocking during the game against players closer to his size.

Not defending boutte for his actions, he deserves to be disciplined. But, I think that was a product of the frustration that our players on offense are feeling .

I would suspend him and he wouldn't dress out for a minimum two games. Suspending someone for only the Jacksonville St. game is pitiful. I would also punish his arse in practice and wear him out a good bit with conditioning. Then I would demote his arse to a backup and make him start over earning his spot.
I wouldn't ruin his college career over that one play though.
I would also expect an apology from him to the team, the wisconsin player, wisconsin team, and our university.

It's possible someone on the sideline screamed "we are passing ok" and he heard "knock that pansy out Boutte". There was a lot of confusion out there all game.

He should be doing that anyway. He looked god awful out there. Big bad tough guy probably thought he had to blindside that kid because he was getting his arse handed to him all day when faced with straight up competition. He should be suspended for 3 games and hopefully during that time his replacement shows us something because Boutte looked like a div 3 second stringer on Saturday

That's not how you would normally "tackle" someone, period. If a Wisconsin player laid out Harris that long after the end of a whistle, I guarantee no person in their right mind here on TD would be defending that action.
I'm very disappointed in Miles too. Yes, he has to stand up for his teammates, but he just played dumb in the post game interview, calling it "logical". Dude, really? Everyone saw it.
