And suppose the new HC, whoever he may be, says nofrickingway? He would be a consultant for...2 mths and no real time to change anything this season?

Baylor is also a school that had one basketball player murder a teammate with accusations of a program cover-up. Off-field image concerns galore in Waco.

I wouldn't support the program anymore with Briles or Petrino coaching/consulting. Always will support the school though. Something we need more of..

I don't think we really have THOSE issues; or at least it was hushed up a lot more.

In fairness, wasn't there similar issues with the Baylor basketball team too? Maybe lack of institutional control?

Briles certainly has a mind for offense. Funny that Alleva would go for it, considering what he did at Duke.

I like Briles - would love to see him as OC. I have not followed the extent of his involvement with the 'rape culture' at Baylor, but I really doubt he was any more culpable than just not being on too of things. I'd like to know more about how much he really knew about it.

Geez. He's a great OC...wait, rape? He got fired because his players (allegedly) raped a coed or two? And he (allegedly) covered it up? Bah - there must be more to the story. I believe him (even though Baylor fired him). Bring him in!
