Bo Bordelon development question

Did Bordelon really make a massive step this offseason, or was the prior staff too stupid to see the talent there? I watched him on numerous plays, and he appeared to look pretty good. Majority of designed runs went to his side.

Turns out Brad Davis is a really bad coach. It’s not completely Brads fault, he was left unsupervised by BK.

Saban was correct on Coach Wolf. They were fundamentally very sound with a nasty physical identity.

It’s absolutely insane how bad fat Scott misread major hires. The Jimbo hire at Aggy, BK here and then the fact he was meddling.
Giving an unmotivated senior citizen a massive long term deal was so silly. All because Lincoln didn’t want to be in the sec. Fat Scott basically panicked the same as big nose Joe when Herman turned us down.

People want to kkniw how you can spot a really good coach.. coaching changes give us that opportunity and last night we saw it clearly in the development and the combined execution with both the Oline and Running backs. Talent eval goes into this and so far, we got upgrades..

We all know Brad Davis had favorites that had 0 to do with actual performance. He also had no clue how to teach these guys proper technique.
Glad we are done with the whole lot BK brought in.

That’s because he was Woody’s snitch

I think the coaching last season was even worse than everyone thought. Our OL had no clue what they were doing with terrible fundamentals, RB’s had no clue what they were doing with terrible fundamentals, QB had new clue what he was doing with terrible fundamentals, scheme was awful and set people up for failure.
The one thing we didn’t really see a huge difference in last night was WR play. They didn’t look bad and Watkins/Wright made some nice plays with their legs, but they didn’t overwhelm Clemson like the run game and overall OL play. There will be plenty of time to see how they have developed, but Kiffin has mentioned before they went quantity over quality in their investment on the position.

I really feel like Blake Baker already had the mentality of many of these new staff hires. He doesn’t look at stars or what the portal says your value is. You have to show him. So far it looks like we have massively improved our coaching staff.

Yep, Lane actually being heavily involved in the roster building instead of just delegating and saying make an appointment is a major difference. Also having the head coach up at the building at 4:30 working, trickles down to the entire staff working harder and better.

Yeah, the WR group is the one area I’m more concerned about. May had just been a bad showing last night. They won no contested balls, and that will have to improve. I’m glad we get Tech next week to try and dial in some of that stuff and continue working on the timing with Leavitt.
