Aside from one great play by Thompson overall it was terrible, horrible throws in infield all over. Maybe tomorrow will be better

And despite how bad it was overall, if Jobert makes one routine play, we win that game.

Stop white knighting for players just because you feel you need to.

Jobert fricked us tonight.

Jobert hit into 4 double plays and committed all 5 errors!

You forget that right before that, Tanks misplayed a grounder. So it ain’t all Jobert’s fault

White booted a 2 out ground ball before Jobert misplayed his. At least Jobert had to worry about the wall down the first base line and that’s why he lost track of the ball.

It wasn’t just an easy grounder though. 3rd base makes errors on hard hit grounders they try to body up. Outfielders don’t just misplay east flyballs.

Tank is truly not a good fit at 3rd base.

White should've made that play, but it was infinitely harder than the play Jobert had to make.

The bright side is that despite playing by far the worst defensive game of the year, we were in it til the last out....

White’s was a shot. Jobert’s play was 10X’s more routine.

I believe he was playing even with the bag too.

He should've made the play, but lol at anyone comparing that to what Jobert did.

He didn’t try to body it up. He tried to glove it. I do admit it was hit hard.

Jobert had a long run and knew he was getting close to the warning track for the wall. Still a play that needs to be made, but it wasn’t a simple catch.

How is that the bright side? That makes it more dark because it just goes to show you how much we got fricked by letting a routine fly ball drop with the bases loaded

Not taking up for White, but Jobert was well inside the wall. He flat misplaced the ball when we had no wind.

That play was really great.

The defense cost us this game, Jobert's error was magnified bc not only was it played so bad defensively, it tied the game for them on a ball that should have been an easy out.

Also, Herring is a promising young pitcher, but he'll need to continue to work on his defense on the mound and covering 1st.

You're right though OP, just a horrible game defensively. You could add White to that list and a couple of other players.

Huh? it landed in play.

If he was worried about the warning track in foul territory, he would slowed up to the ball, not overrun it.

If we played that bad and were still in it, we are never out of it.

Are we talking about the same play? Because my eyes saw something different, if we are.
