The portal definitely helps ND grab some explosive athletes that they've been lacking the last decade.

Should be noted that this is actually 3 separate occurrences since the final game was during the BCS era

Something called NIL and the transfer portal became words of the day since then, retard.

Kelly took Notre Dame to the BCS title game and made the CFP Seminfinals twice.
Results:
42-14 loss to Alabama in the BCS title game.
30-3 loss to Clemson in the CFP seminfinal.
31-14 loss to Alabama in CFP semifinal.
It's clear that Notre Dame under Freeman is a more physical program that plays with a different attitude, as evidenced by the double digit win over Georgia and another win last night over Penn State.
LSU, meanwhile, throughout this past season has looked more like Kelly's prior Notre Dame teams: soft, not putting teams away, and/or just not showing up for big games when it matters.

Freeman is a good coach and Notre Dame is a top program, no need to be insecure

Look at the “hand that was dealt!” MF was left with a far better program at the time because of Brian Kelly !

Freeman gettin his arse handed to him tonight. It’s going to get worse

CBK's accomplishments are even more impressive. He made the playoffs and national championship game while playing a tougher SOS and when ND had higher academic standards. CBK also had a perfect regular season record and never lost to Northern Illinois. ND wouldn't have even sniffed the playoffs this year under the old system.
You keep saying this and no matter how many times you say this, it's just not true. BK never won a postseason game against a top 10 team, much less three. Kelly's ND teams lost several games against teams worse than NIU. No, ND didn't lower their academic standards...where did you get this b.s.? And don't you think the fact neither OSU or ND would have been in a four-team playoff shows that that system was flawed?

He did it faster, too. And from a worse starting position.

ND did the impossible. Made me root for Ohio State.
Posted on 1/20/25 at 8:28 pm to MarkGolf
Context: who did they lose to? Surely that matters. Is Indiana a 2018 Clemson or 2020 Bama? What about this Georgia team? What about Penn State? Hell, even this Ohio State team? You can eat shite and admit y’all aren’t at that level yet.

The good news is he's seem to have got it and adjusted.

Why do y'all keep saying ND is a fraud because they're not on the level of all-time historical teams? Is that the standard now or else you're crap? That's outright stupid.
I guess you'll crap all over Xander Schauffele for winning two major golf championships this year because he wouldn't have beaten Tiger in his prime. Because that's the "logic" you're using.

Geaux back to the ND message boards

Are you saying this Ohio State team is historically great? LMAO
Posted on 1/20/25 at 8:37 pm to Chicken
But now they will say it took BK longer or come up with other excuses.

Hey any other asinine comments on this board about how we “got the wrong ND coach”? Any other self loathing Tiger fans or can we put this shite to bed?
