Best stories from the student section

During the dinardo’s bring back the magic era in the mid 90s my mom was a student at LSU. She was not a football fan so my dad and I would go to the games. Being in the student section in tiger stadium as a 8-9 year old is why I am a die hard fan.
I forgot if it was miss st or vandy, it was pouring down rain and we all had our ponchos on. My dad had to pee real bad but didn’t want to miss any of the game. He took his large cup and pissed in it underneath his poncho and he looked so relieved. I don’t remember at what point of the game we scored and everybody was throwing their drinks in the air.
My dad was caught in the moment and threw his cup of piss on all the students. My dad had that aww shite look on his face not meaning to do that and I was laughing my arse off knowing a large group of students was covered in piss. The young guy sitting next to us said hey man who cares we are actually winning again.

Wins during that era were rare...I wouldn't have minded a little piss shower for a win back then!

No I went to the bathroom earlier in the stadium during the game and somebody pissed on all the toilet paper. I feel bad for whoever took a shite in there. Now that is nasty.

Before the '97 Florida game, some UF fans had a gigantic "work 'em silly gators" sign and they were taunting the student section with it. Some kid ran out, snatched it and ran the UF fans in circles, then he ran into the full student section where the students ripped that shite up like a tiger through paper. They UF fans went to complain to the Marshall or sheriff or trooper or whatever and the cop just shrugged his shoulders and told them to go sir back down. It was hilarious.

One of the funniest things I ever saw in tiger stadium was a student who was blackout drink staggering around. He was wearing khakis and his buddies had split the pant lege from the cuff to his belt/crotch. The pants were just like a flap of material hanging from his belt in the front and back

In 1984 I watched some drunk dude roll from right under the scoreboard in the N.Endzone (where I always sat) down the concrete stairs...all the way to the bottom bonking off the bleachers like a ping pong ball and then get up scream geaux tigers!and walk away. You know he was hurt.
I also remember a game that put us in the Orange Bowl around that same time. Everybody had brought in oranges and rained oranges down onto the field even from the upper deck in the thick fog so you couldn't see them coming.. Players and refs were getting pelted....the next Monday I parked in the stadium lot and as I walked to class I could smell nothing but oranges all the way past the stadium.
I also remember a game that put us in the Orange Bowl around that same time. Can’t remember which game it was in mid 90’s. Cold as all hell and getting our arse beat. My friend piled up some trash and started a fire. That didn’t go over well

I’ve got a few...
In 1999 I actually sat in the Mississippi State student section decked out in LSU stuff. I couldn’t believe how easy and friendly everyone was. When we scored we would sit down and high five. My best friend went to state so we traded home and home baseball and football each year. State’s RB’s knee went down at the 2 on the final drive but the officials didn’t see it and he dove into th end zone with the winning TD. My friend and his friends heckled us the whole way to his house. I was so pissed I told my LSU buddies we were going home. We drove through the night home to Baton Rouge.
In 2000 we beat Bama for the first time since 1969. I think this was the game but we had 3 guys with chests painted LSU sitting behind us. They were contemplating streaking onto the field. If I remember correctly we encouraged them to run all the way across the field and mooning the Bama fans. The 3 of them walked down and 2 decided to do it. They jumped the fence and made it all the way across and pulled it off. I’m hoping a student will do it again this year. So many memories as a student.

2010 Tennessee game.
Buddy and I had just turned our backs to the field to walk under the stands, after it rained cups from anger. Heard boos go quiet and turned around to see the ref on the field and heard his announcement. Walked back to the stands and watched one of the greatest endings to a game. Then watch it rain cups in tiger stadium for the second time...from joy.
Apparently a cheerleader got hit in the face with a bottle of jack.

I remember the “orange game” A FSU cheerleader came up to me in the rv lot on s stadium and threatened to squash a orange in my face if we didn’t stop the “hurrah hurrah, stick stick stick, if you ain’t a Tiger, you ain’t shite”! Cheer we were yelling. If I remember correctly through the JD haze we got louder!

I'm pretty sure the rain of oranges was the 1982 season. But the upper deck wasn't opened until the 1983 season, I think.
