Was there… one of those moments you will remember for a lifetime. It was so. damn. loud.
It was literally as if you had a huge fire and then threw 10 barrels of gasoline into it. The place absolutely erupted.
I was close to field level that game and my ears legitimately were hurting for that 90 or so second period.
Can only imagine how intimidated those FLA players were.
Such a special moment.
A big part of this was that EVERYONE in the stadium cheered. LSU and UF fans and players
Both teams were spilling onto the field with excitement.
"Final out of Southern California... Stanford 24; Souther Cal... 23!"

The difference between being ranked 1 or 2 mattered a lot more back then before the playoffs existed. USC losing gave us a lot more leeway

True, but I’d still prefer the matchups with Florida and bama at home those years then number 7 LSU beating number 18 BYU in a home playoff game. Those games were essentially playoff games anyway and against better competition. Bama won it all in 2012 and had we beaten bama I think it would have been our NC instead. 2007 was an anomaly as far as us losing 2 games and still winning it all.

My earliest childhood memory was 2000 LSU v. Tennessee. There were few moments I that game but I was hooked after that 2000 season.

In my section some texts were getting through and word was starting to spread that USC had lost so the electricity was already growing. I got the text from my Dad shortly before Borne announced it and blew the top off the place

Drake Nevis sack fumble of Greg McElroy in 2010 was awesome. Also that untimed down vs Tennessee. The most consistently loud game I can remember was 2012 vs Alabama

Probably one notch below was when the last pass was intercepted in the end zone to close out the Auburn Bring Back the Magic game in 95
After 6 straight years of losing, that was a fricking party.
