Waters is the best PG in the current century at LSU.

Edit: I see this has been said a few times.

Maybe this thread would be more appropriate in about 10 years. There is not enough history there to pick from.

Had Waters stayed in school like he should have maybe we see the improvement of what was an other wise below avg shooter

bwaaaas of course you wouldn’t use their career. Still doesn’t make him a Pg like I said. Just a good college player. By your logic Smart was better than Ethan Martin. What a freaking useless way to look at a players imoact on the game with HIS 2.5 made 3’s per game!

I bet you think this NBA did something spectacular with his perfect FT for a season also. fricking moronic way to look at players.

So using your logic Smart was better shooter than Pete.

I actually was in school when Pete played. I saw him live many many times.
I just wanted to point out how far fetched it is for you to compare Smart (a stick in the mud) to Waters. You pulled 1 years of a shooting percentage of (2.5 made/6) attempts out of your arse for a fact. The reality is you have to look at the players impact on the entire freaking game and how they saw the court.
How did Smart make his teammates better? Really couldn’t tell it from his play. Frankly he was just a good player but not a game changer.

Waters averaged more points, more assists and more steals and the same number of rebounds per game for their career. You tell me who the better player was for LSU a-hole!

And the correct answer will still be Tremont Waters.

No question. I also think you could make the argument he was the best playmaking guard since Chris Jackson.

Hell, this is from his THIRD college game ever... against a team (Michigan) that would ultimately finish the season playing for the National Championship
