I liked it as well. What’s the back story on that? It’s not often a non marching band performs at halftime at LSU games.

A few years ago Tiger Band played Eye of the Tiger guess staring James Michael Peterik who wrote it.

You are correct my friend.

That’s where Roy got that idea from.
My grandson told me that it was Roy's idea to remove the hats in 2001 and that he got the idea from a drum core. I think it was the Phantom Drum Core. Not sure.

I liked this one too. My son was a tuba player then.

I was in TB in 01. The halftime performance of Amazing Grace that very first game after 9/11 was easily the greatest performance in Tiger Stadium history simply due to emotion and all of TS being dead silent for the duration of that tune. It was eerie and wonderful at the same time. I get chills just thinking about it.
Former TigerBand trumpet. (Late '80s.) I am extremely jealous of you for being a part of that show! The link below is my favorite regarding that show.

When I was a kid, the band played let's go crazy by Prince. Best one I ever saw

My all time favorite (still gives me chills to see it) was the first game in Tiger Stadium after 9/11 when they played Amazing Grace.

Lmaoooo so glad someone remembered the Latin flair tribute. I swear they played the same routine for three different home games

It wasn’t halftime but when the band played Walking To New Orleans before the Tennessee game after Katrina there weren’t very many dry eyes in the place.
