Billy Cannon run on Halloween. Usher in boy scouts in South end zone. He made the stop on Jake Gibbs twice on the goal line.

Those who were there should not have any doubt - 1979 Southern Cal, with a roster of 33 future NFL draft picks, including TWELVE (12!) first round picks (Heisman winner Charles White and NFL Hall of Famers Marcus Allen, Anthony Munoz, Bruce Mathews and Ronnie Lott) against an ordinary LSU team. Other USC 1st rounders included their entire offensive line (Don Mosebar and Keith Van Horne, guards Brad Budde and Roy Foster) and defenders safety Dennis Smith, linebacker Chip Banks and safety Joey Browner.
LSU really won that game through sheer will and effort, though the scoreboard at the end said otherwise when USC was able to score with 32 seconds left on a play where their fastest receiver lined up at tight end so as to be covered by an LSU safety.
A close second would be Notre Dame 1971, when LSU stopped ND four times on fourth down plays inside of the 10 yard line - once stuffing ND's fullback from the 6 inch line.

People don't realize how good that USC team was and how awesome it was that LSU even played with them much less beat them on the field. That is recognized as the greatest Offensive line in the history of college football. That is the game that made Tiger Stadium what it became. A place no one wanted to come play. I'll also throw in Florida 1997 which laid the foundation for the greatness of this program.

I remember the worst game, I think it was Fl state or Miami and it was a Monsoon that night and my 2 boys kept saying let's go ( we were getting slaughtered) and I told them when the scoreboard has 00:00 on it we will go! That was the good ol days! What little I remember about the best win was against Auburn and my son's and their DA friend who knocked over a Port o John and au fan was covered in blue. I was really pissed at the kid and I told him 1 more thing and I was leaving him ! All games were great if we won!

1972 LSU 17 Ole Miss 16. With 1 second remaining Jones hit Brad Davis at the corner of the goal line of the South End Zone to tie it. Rusty Jackson kicked the extra point to win it. I was in the North End Zone snd didn’t get a good look at it. I was also at the game 2 years earlier to watch Casanova and Burn return 3 punts for TD’s in that 61-17 blowout in Archie’s Last Game. Come to think of it, I’ve never been to an Ole Miss game we lost. I remember someone painting Go to Hell Ole Miss on the Assembly Center roof. In those days they were the team we hated the most. The 70’s made Bama the enemy.

Some of you may have been at one of these.
So many to choose from. UF 2019 was a really great game
Like so many other UF games. Burrow was nearly perfect against a top 3 defense. They ended up at 7 for the season which included the 42 LSU put on them.
People who say Auburn 1988 was not at that game.
One wild game I was at and actually stayed for was Troy 2008. Down 31-10 heading into the 4th quarter and winning 40-31 in an empty stadium. That was CRAZY.

LSU-USC 1979...I was at every game, home and away, from 77-83 and I've never been in a louder stadium. Amazing...
