How often does it work like that? It’s usually assumed that you’re trading an out for a base. The only reason they did it the second time is it worked the first time. The 6th inning is a bit early. Outs are valuable commodities in a game where a 1 out 3 success rate is winning. ...

It’s situational. Give me a three run dinger or a base clearing double any day. I didn’t see it, so I don’t know the situation. You don’t send a HITTER up to trade an out for a base until late in a game. I really love the aesthetics of a squeeze play. ...

I don’t think so. Comparisons are stupid, but I noticed Washington’s running backs were absent in protection and their receivers were not a factor. I believe Jayden could have exploited a few of those creases in the pass rush for big gains. We’d score but do would they. ...
