People forget that Jordan Jefferson was named a preseason top 10 candidate before 2011 by a few publications and even ESPN. Then whole Shady's stomping happened.

Hodson was definitely promoted by LSU prior to his senior season.

It was before his Junior year, 1988. See the schedule on the poster.

If not for the huge round of busts this season like Arch Manning, Klubnik, etc. I’d say that he’s one of the biggest busts in NCAA history

Hate to say it, but Arch wasn’t a bust. He didn’t meet the expectations, but it was his first year starting and he ended up with solid numbers 2nd half of the season. He was decent vs. A&M, but I think the bowl game will show what he is made of moving into 2026.

Klubnik was Nussmeier with wheels. Same mistakes, same lack of awareness.

I hope Kiffin has a plan to fill seats in the QB room and O line.

Hodson for Heisman" was a thing

Hodson had a good senior year. The team sucked, but I wouldn’t call Hodson’s senior season anything close to a bust

What’s the point of this post? The guy was Hurt.

We were lucky to have a guy that had a great year last year who was positioned to be a heisman favorite. We need those ever year. Nuss served us well, it was an unfortunate situation

Burrow and Daniels weren't on the Heisman radar before their Heisman winning seasons.

Daniels was very much on the Heisman radar going into 2023. I think he had the 2nd best odds preseason. He was on a lot of top 5-10 lists going into the year.

I don't know about season, but if I recall correctly, Russell Shepard was the starter of the 6heismans thing back when he was recruited. Poor guy never even got to throw a pass.

What's the point of your response? Are your feelings hurt?

The point was simple. It was a QUESTION about LSU QBs that were in Heisman talk pre-season, that ended up having this bad of a season.

Look, if you want to buy that he was hurt... great. I'm sure he wasn't 100%, but then the rest was on BK as the HEAD COACH to sit him in those cupcake games.
