I gave away my tickets to that game so my wife’s coworker could take her little boy. I would have thought differently had I known I would be watching a future HOF quarterback.

Look. I get it. You're one of those people that thinks we should consider all accused rapists guilty until proven innocent. Thankfully, that stupidity isn't how shite works.
quote:

You do know that rape is the most under reported crime and 99% of rapist are NEVER convicted.

What relevance do you think this point has?
quote:

But you fail to mentioned he settled the Lake Tahoe lawsuit where he was accused of rape
You do know that this is the case where the coworker wrote a sworn affidavit saying the accuser bragged about sleeping with Ben, right? And, even if you didn't know that. The settling happened in the CIVIL case. I'll bet you think something dumb like, "why would he settle if he wasn't guilty"? On it's own that's dumb but it's even dumber when you realize the converse can also be said. "Why would SHE settle if he was guilty?" The answer is simple. People settle to make shite go away ALL THE TIME.

quote:

before the multiple Georgia incide
Literally none of which even ended up with formal accusations of ANY kind.

You're an emotional wreck, that's all.

In a letter asking the district attorney not to prosecute, the alleged victim's lawyer emphasized that the she was not recanting her accusation but rather was afraid that the trial would be "a very intrusive personal experience" due to the "extraordinary media attention" it would receive.

In September 2009, McNulty's lawyer offered to drop the suit if Roethlisberger would admit that he had assaulted McNulty, donate $100,000 to a Reno charity for abused women, and write a letter of apology; Roethlisberger's lawyer called the offer "bizarre" and rejected it. The case was settled out of court in January 2012. After the civil complaint was filed, the NFL took no action.

I'm not sure why you are posting things in support of my point now.

Let's not be coy here. It ain't like she didn't know she was accusing a nationally famous person from the outset so the decision to not charge because it would receive "extraordinary media attention" is just such an embarrassing lie that I'm embarrassed for her. Come on.

Oh, and for frick's sake. Is it your position that employers should punish men if someone files a civil suit against them? Are you fricking insane?

Bottom line.

Look. If you or someone you know got raped by the Karate teacher in the past and he got away with it, that sucks arse.

However, that simply does NOT mean that everyone ELSE accused of rape did it.

I agree! I look at each case.

For example...I don't believe Woody Allen was guilty and I watched the Docuseries "Farrow vs Allen" which was a total hit piece on Woody Allen (and I have never seen a Woody Allen movie).

I think Big Ben probably did it. My brother had a Rooster and we named him Big Ben Epstein.

And its fine that you don't think he did it...to each his own!

And yet you call a man a rapist who has NEVER even been charged. Are you psychic or something?

I have no idea if he did it. And neither do you.

THAT is the point. Sheesh.
