What have you seen from this baseball team that would make you think Omaha is in our future? The hitting? Pitching?
Super regional is absolute peak if things don’t turn around quickly.

I'm confused as to why you're embarrassed.
I get LSU fans are fickle folk.
What makes your generation different from mine and this one?
Honest question.

I mean no disrespect... but is it an older folks thing to use ellipses a lot when they type...
My grandma also does that... on the Facebooks...

Tell us about the message boards back in 1959, pawpaw

I think many agree with you. There is reason to be concerned about baseball. I think the new AD can help guide them in the right direction next season.

God damn.
I'm 43 and it rustles my jimmies when younger generations don't appreciate the batshit insane benchmark our predecessors set for us to carry on.
to them
And many of us are still diehard nuts for the Tigers.

Let me tell you something know it all. I am 63 years old and I am not a new breed of fan. Some fans "get it" earlier than others (like you).
If you think that fan disagreement over the direction of an LSU athletic program is something new to the "new breed of LSU fans" as you called it then I don't know where you were back in the last few years of Charlie McClendon. There was HUGE disagreement in the fanbase about keeping him or moving on.
Hell, some dumbasses even wanted to keep Curley Hallman when Tiger Stadium was half-empty. Those same fans who supported Hallman continued to tell other fans who did not support Hallman that LSU was close to turning things around and that our expectations were too high. The Hallman supporters said these things considering that Good Ole Curley won a total of 16 games in 4 years. You probably were one of those.
If wanting to win embarrasses you then go watch a Tee-ball game where "everyone is a winner" and "if you tried you won". bullshite.

Omaha? What are you smoking?
Posted on 4/18/19 at 11:23 pm to 75helpmacpack
Why are you on the rant then?

I'm 60 and most of my friends from Louisiana love the Tigers. None of us liked the curley hire nor his tenure as our coach. I don't know wtf you're talking about. And if you think things aren't better now than if les was still our coach then you are mistaken. We wouldn't have been a top 6 team last year and a preseason top 10 pick this coming season. This team will be very good, hopefully great. A man can dream!

Man, I'm not on the Fire Maneiri bandwagon, but you can't honestly believe this.

Sometimes older people forget that controversy and different opinions regarding LSU Athletics are nothing new at all.

I agree. If there was a message board back in the 70's then there would have been different opinions posted regarding Cholly Mac. Keep him or fire him?
In the 80s it was Mike Archer.
In the 90s it was Joe Dean's bumbling, moronic crap. Joe's hit and run in Southdowns then he couldn't be found for several hours. Rumored to have been drinking. Then Joe hit a Police Car leaving an LSU Baseball Regional and drove to the Tennis Courts with a cop following him the entire way with lights flashing and siren going.
Then Joe botched the hiring of Pat Sullivan and had to go back and hire Dinardo who had removed his name from consideration 2 days earlier. Then when Saban came in Emmert did the hiring because Joe Dean was so inept. I could go on for days. Lol
Do you think any of these things would have been talked about more had there been the proliferation of the Internet? Of course they would have.

Respect is earned and age should have no effect on that. The post starts with OP denigrating newer fans. You're not going to get respect in return.

In 1959, there was no message board to hide behind. He was boning real live girls.

I am 63 and I thought the OP was a little out of line toward younger fans.
I have seen a lot of controversy regarding LSU over the years and differing opinions have always existed.
Surprise! They still do.
I went to my 1st LSU football game when I was 6 years old in 1962. The fans were arguing about LSU Sports back then. I heard it. Lol.
