In 5 years = during the 2028-2029 season.

Madking once again showing his arse. Some things never change. I don’t have a lot of love or hate for Mc. Guy was out in a bad situation so can’t really judge him on his first season. Woodward however has done more than enough to be respected and admired. His hires have mostly worked out VERY VERY well.

He's a one-trick pony. He overpays for safe hires. It can work ok for a program that is already on top, such as LSU football or baseball. It is a disaster for a program that is trying to get there like LSU basketball.
Les Miles and Ed Orgeron proved that you don't need a spectacular football coach to win at LSU. So an unspectacular coach like Brian Kelly is a fine fit.
Johnson/Jones/Wade proved that you do need someone special to make LSU basketball a winner. So when Woodward hired the world's most uninteresting man... we were screwed from the start. Great, we won't get in trouble with the toothless NCAA. We wouldn't have anyway. But now the program is deader than it has been since John Brady's first season.
