Sorry, but you're denying obviously low character actions.
So answer one simple question with yes or no. This is easy as it gets. He left NC St

I don't think he has shown that. he did pay players, which is fine, everyone does and did.
he also moved from one job to another which also is fine and people do it all the time.
I see zero evidence he is low character. on the contrary, as a big fan I have watched almost every minute of every interview he has ever done since 2017. he, for example, refuses to leave town if any of his players are in town. like over the holidays if one player stays in baton rouge, he stays. he always wants to be available to support his players. its his first priority. and his players like him.
People can say what they want about tGeneral but what can't be denied is his players ADORE him and have his back, they're even returning to LSU to support him in his return.
Next to the fact that, anywhere he goes whether it be NC State, LSU, or McNeese, he immediately dives in head first to embrace the brass and donor base because he's a driven person and that's what you want as your head coach at the end of the day.
If it was only about paying players and transactional, his former players wouldn't still be supporting him and having that relationship with him, you have to be a good coach and also good with people and players and that's what he is.

I've read this 5 times and still can't figure out what you are saying.
Regardless, here is the story:
The same donors/LSU power brokers who push to get Wade back to LSU after this past season did so the year before. That push was rejected by the (then) LSU AD and President.
In the meantime, with LSU under the then leadership it was clear Wade to LSU was not an option. So he took a major conf. job at NC State. When he took the job there were no plans to leave for LSU after 1 season...because LSU, under then leadership, was not going to consider hiring Wade.
Thereafter, the President and AD got pushed out by many of those same people with influence in part, because they rejected the urging to bring Wade back to LSU. The new people put in power at LSU were not adverse to Wade. That totally changed the dynamic from where things were the year prior.
In March there was an internal power struggle within the people who fund/control LSU athletics. Some boosters did not want to hire Wade away from NC State. Not because they didn't like Wade personally. Not because they actually believed McMahon was worth a damn. But because they had just committed a fortune to fire Kelly and hire Kiffin a few months prior.
There was NO offer to Wade from LSU during that time. So Wade had no intention of leaving NC State. Obviously Wade knew through back channels that there was a group of people who wanted to hire him at LSU. But until there was something concrete, he had no reason to leave his job at NC State. This happens EVER DAY in the business world. People aren't going to leave their current job unless they have an offer/assurance from a different employer who may want to hire them.
The LSU leadership then continue to work to make the LSU job attractive to Wade by hiring Schoyer to be an associate AD (essentially filling Verge's spot). Shortly thereafter a concrete offer was made to Wade to become the LSU basketball coach. I don't care how good of a job NC State may have been. When a school shows a commitment by, in part, essentially remaking its leadership structure with you in mind you take the job.
Wade didn't go to NC State with the goal to quickly leave for LSU. Influential people associated with LSU worked to make Wade an offer he could not refuse. The end result was 13 months later Wade was LSU's HC and ChatGPTofLA gets to carry on the schtick of pretending to be a "concern troll"

No sir..please review what was being responded to. It was expressly about McNeese 1 yr improvement. Thats when an SEC coach can go into a small town like that and make an immediate large splash.
The president of my company is a huge booster to the McNeese basketball program, as well as my hometown Lamar Cardinals. When Wade was hired, they ponied up over 10million dollars in 2 years knowing that he would only be there a few years. Our business was responsible for a large portion of those funds. The Southland conference by in large is one of, if not, the worst basketball conferences in the country.
So yes, facts are facts, but context does matter as well.
As far as p5 success goes, Will Wade has underwhelmed in the NIL era. NC State was projected to finish top 3-4 in the ACC by most and finished 7th.
Also, the SEC is far more dominant in basketball now, than it was from 2017-2022. During that time, there was never more than 4 SEC teams finish in the top 25. The last 2 years was the highest SRS in the conferences history. 10 teams made the tournament last year, and 14 the year prior. 2017 was the only year during WW's tenure was in the top 10 in conference SRS. LSU finished 18-15 that season.
So I think that WW will be a nice band aid for the program, I don't think he is getting the program to elite status. We will definitely be relevant again though.

nah, he left a job. he thanked them for the opportunity and left. people do this all the time.
you are not required to give your former employee a handjob and a box of chocolates.

LSU has never consistently been at "elite status" and Wade was the most consistently successful HC at LSU over the last 40 years. So I don't know if I'd use the term "band aid". That implies he would be kind of a placeholder until someone better can come along. Maybe that is the case. But given the history of LSU basketball it is hard to predict that will happen.
I do agree that the league is stronger, overall, than it was in his first stint at LSU. But the top programs have more or less remained the same (Auburn, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida/Kentucky/Arkansas) during that time. However, there has been some dynamics shifting with those programs and the potential for more in the future. People can talk about money, but the reality is the right HC is the No. 1 factor in success.
To that end, Bruce Pearl is no longer at Auburn. You saw the immediate impact of his departure last season. Barnes is 71. Tennessee is still consistently good. But realistically, how many more years is Barnes going to stick around. The same can be said, to some degree, for Calipari who will be 68 this season.
That leaves Oats, Gloden, and maybe Byington (I say maybe because Vandy operates at a disadvantage relative to the other SEC schools). There were very strong rumors this past offseason of Golden being the top candidate for the Warriors job if Kerr were let go. That's because he had a good relationship with the Warrior's owners. That's not expected to change. And with a guy like May leaving for the NBA, maybe it becomes more popular to do so.
The point is that Wade doesn't walk into the SEC as the best coach in the league. Far from it. But he's not a "bad" coach either. You don't consistently win at multiple stops over the course of 5 years by being a bad coach. He is also still young (43) and in a few years it could be a scenario where the established pillars start to fall around him putting LSU is in a position to jump up a level. I'm not predicting it will happen, but if after this season Barnes and Golden were out of the league then I think we would agree the SEC would look a hell of a lot different.

Alt, I appreciate your thorough and accurate take on the situation, but you're trying to teach a petulant child about how the world actually works.
She has neither the inclination or ABILITY to understand anything beyond playground battles.
If she was really as ethical as she claims to be, she would be HORRIFIED by what LSU has had to do over the years to field a competitive football program in terms of violating NCAA "rules." But she isn't. She just chooses to look past, or blissfully ignore the reality staring her in her face.
WDS in its purest form.

I try not to engage biddy ball too much. I don’t agree with him, but he is coaching kids, so there’s some leeway. The rest are just trolls, they don’t want to win. They’re also so hypocritical in how they apply their principles, they may as well be Pat Forde or Dickie V.

Did I say my alma mater? You can't be both? I'm sure it makes sense to you though. On the other hand, they curbed stomped us and the rest of the Southland, kind of my point.
They had more money to spend than the entire conference combined, probably x2.

They actually got better(or kept winning, however you choose to look at it) once Will Wade left, if that's any indicator. Hard to argue with facts. I'd respond with "Lol" too

Higher winning % when WW left. Won the conference championship and
still made the tournament. After losing all but 1 player. Not very much of a drop off was there?

Sorry those aren’t facts, you could even say they’re the opposite of facts because that’s what they are.
Here are the facts
Winning %
With Wade- 84%
After Wade- 82%
Wins vs P5 or tourney teams
With Wade - 4
After Wade- 0
Conf win%
With Wade- 95%
After Wade- 86%
NCAA wins
With Wade- 1
After Wade- 0

2024: 28-7
2025: 28-6
Armstrong had higher winning %. All I said. You added all the other shite. Also consider only retaining 1 player from Wade’s team. So how was Armstrong able to have a higher %? Is he really that good or did McNeese really pony up a ton of money to buy players that were elite for the vast majority of the schedule they played?
Strength of schedule:
2024: 158th
2025: 167th
Really not that much of a drop off, save a tournament win. Not like the 2025 team got blown out either, it was a 10 point loss.
