He was all they had this year as far as receiving, Wonder how he rated as a blocker. That would be key because he has the skills to flourish under kelly as a receiver.

This is a great pickup.

And I'm sure Sloan will help develop him in the passing game.

This meets a short term need that we have. Good pick up.

Still don't understand Pimpton. He was going to feast with Nuss back.

First merc in the house, I hope he can block, he will have to help the tackles.

Or Daniels.

We'll probably be chunking it as much as anybody and they would've been a big part of it.

Dunno why yall can’t understand this…

CJ Daniel’s was the 3rd highest paid player on team last year and had zero touchdowns…we were not gonna fulfill the 2nd year of the contract and pay him for those kinds of stats. He could have stayed but wants to be paid like last year…there are more explosive players in the portal. If we want a possession receiver, just use green as that.

His throwing ability should keep defenses honest if Sloan sends him out wide

It was somewhere around there, collective money wise, doesn’t include real NIL, Ohio state was more than double that. Ole miss was double or close too.

53.4 PFF overall grade, 54.9 run blocking grade

Not particuarly. We are taking 2 TEs so would assume this is the "#2" of that, but still, not exactly a great pickup.

You will have a lot of people reference "he led OU in receiving this year" - OUs like top 6 WRs were all hurt and out this season and had some walk ons playing WR. This guy led by default basically, he had only 324 yards on 42 catches. His receiving grade from PFF was 59.2.

Just seems like a waste of a pickup, we need TE#2 to be a blocker next season unless they think LaFleur can immediately provide a lot of that. Would have made more sense to go out and get a blocker and then a big time receiver as TE#1 at TE.

I think it's hot that his lipstick in that picture matches his gloves...
