Oklahoma and Texas rivalry will continue to be played at state fair in Dallas in October. The end of year rivalry with Texas A&M will be renewed.

so which one is "manufactured" again?

The one we don't care about: anm. Playing a lot doesn't make it a rivalry, i.e. Mississippi State.

This has to be a troll post. The ark game has always been the #8 most anticipated game out of the 8 conference match ups for LSU fans, although it’s top 2 for them.

I much prefer A&M over Arkansas. I pretty much hate the Arkansas game every season and just want to get through with it.

No no no, the less hype for the Arky game the better. I’m a fan of them having moved the game to early in the season. Should continue to reduce the number of highly motivated “playing a foot above the ground” upsets on Arky’s part.

1. Under current 8-game scheduling, Texas A&M's only perm oppo is LSU. As long as that is true, Ags and LSU will play this weekend. Ags will only play Texass 2 times every 4 years and that intermittent rivalry will not be played on the last weekend.

2. The real question is will the SEC vote to go to 9 SEC games starting in 2026. Personally, I do not see 9 votes for doing that. SEC only had 5 votes for that last year when they formally voted.

I think there is a lot of BS going around right now about permanent opponents & the 8 game schedule is only set for 2024. Hopefully we will continue to play teams like Bama, A&M, & Florida every year.

I agree.

We will never be billed as A&M's top rival. Simple as that. Arkansas is the most natural one that we have.

hate playing at Arky in late November with an 11AM kickoff in 34 degree weather.

I don’t like playing aTm at 11a either. The Friday night kickoff every year is starting to sound really good right now.

I'd take the Arkansas game back or play Oklahoma every year. Sure it would be made for TV but I think it would start a pretty cool series. Also I prefer the Black Friday game. Kicking back on rivalry Saturday and soaking up all the games is my favorite way to wrap up the regular season.

Is Ga going to continue playing Ga Tech? If so, bring back the Wave and screw all these other goofy contrivances.

If Tulane is able to be consistently good and makes the jump to the Big 12 or ACC I would gladly bring this back as an end of the year game.

Arkansas is behind Bama, Florida, Ole Miss, Auburn and TAMU in the "rivalry" ranking in my opinion. If we get OU annually, they'd jump Arkansas as well.

Or really old. LSU and Arkansas played every season 1906-1936 (except 1918 due to WWI), the last 23 times in Shreveport.

It’s unlikely that LSU and Arkansas will play every year when/if the SEC goes to a 3-6 format. Ole Miss and A&M are almost certain with another top tier program (which Arkansas isn’t) as the third permanent opponent, probably Alabama, Florida or Oklahoma.

LSU vs Arky the Friday after Thanksgiving the way it should be and the way God intended.
If we have to have a fake/forced rivalry with an SEC team then they are the best choice. We have a small degree of history with them.
