Pearson mostly played 3B in the fall but did get some looks at 2B. Last weekend he got some looks at 1B as well.

No he's not a good hitter. Hold That Tiger 10 will say otherwise. He's good against non conference teams but SEC pitching eats him up. And his glove is awful.

I think when it's all said and done, Dardar starts at 2nd base.

I think Rizy could potentially be one of the best closers in the nation this year.

I know Rizy wants an opportunity to get stretched out more. I see him coming in after the starter and letting him go multiple innings.

He's hitting well in the scrimmages and holding his own at second. Reaves made a couple errors so it seems to be trending this way.

Great write up and discussion fodder Wild. I agree with your assessments.

I also think that Yamin is more than serviceable catching. He has improved his defense and receiving skills since last season and uses his length and size well. We know he has pop in his bat although he didn't get an opportunity behind Papi/Arrambide last season.

I agree that Harden will be hard to keep out of the lineup and believe that if the freshman Braun continues to get on base at his current pace that he will get some opportunities.

They absolutely need a bugger portion of the rev share....IMO.

This is exactly why I have said we aren’t a basketball school and to a degree should let it go. Put that money into baseball. Realistically compare your national title chances in all sports and support the ones that can deliver. Or we could argue that baseball does good with what it has now, but just think of the potential here.

He may not pitch much this year due to how loaded we are, but I thought the freshman Ethan Plog looked good from the left side at Friday’s scrimmage. He could be one to watch. Don’t remember who he faced but he mowed them down

Reaves is a butcher on the field.

Every starting pitcher we have on the roster is being asked to do something different than they've done in the past. They're all adjusting up in some form or fashion. Role, conference, etc.

It's not a good environment to keep a guy on the field that's not going to take the easy outs as they're given.

That's all Jay really asks of his 2B. Hell, Dugas played there with 1 arm. Dickinson was a luxury. Reaves seems to make some really tricky plays but loses focus on the easier ones. I believe he's almost always played multiple positions, so focusing on 2B could help.

The job is wide open.

Plogs arm angle is a problem for left handed hitters.

It will be a platoon at 2B till SEC play. Then Jay will go with one guy probably.

Hands down the WORST poster on baseball and probably close to the worst in the other sports.

But after last year you should be banned
