Here’s the LSU lineup against Louisiana Tech. Expect it to look the same this weekend in Houston.

1. Mathis, 3B
2. Milazzo, C
3. Beloso, 1B
4. Cabrera, RF
5. Garza, DH
6. Doughty, 2B
7. DiGiacomo, CF
8. Hampton, LF
9. Cranford, SS

I thought Coach said Garza was starting at catcher tonight and Milazzo at DH?

Might be the only option.

I like this. Shade Gio towards RF.

I hope he picks someone off at 2B again. So much fun having a guy like him behind the plate.

Another speedy OF. That group can cover serious ground and 2 of those guys have cannons

If DiGiacamo can continue hitting at the plate then this lineup might be the ticket

ETA: just noticed that Beloso and Cabrera switched spots at 3 and 4. Interesting.... can’t say I hate it.

I like toups but I would put Hampton in center if I made that move.

I think he probably agrees. He probably thought (like I did) that Hampton was going to be in CF & Gio in LF.

That's five position players from the past recruiting class and we still have Arnold, Toups in the waiting. I believe Travinski and Sanford are going to be players as well.

Just based on the law of averages...balls are going to start dropping for Doughty. He's gotten very unlucky so far.

He's a solid hitter.

I am sticking with my theory that Hampton isn’t going to be with the baseball team much if at all during spring football so CPM is getting him as many at bats as possible. He has also been pretty good compared to the guys he is competing with. CPM thinks he will help the team a lot when football is done so he wants him to be as prepared as possible.
