I don't see why we have to have one certain person designated as a closer. Several people could fill the role.

I watched an LSU-Bama game that went about 15 innings back around '10 or '11. By the time it was done, nobody in AB really cared who won. This many consecutive extra inning games is crazy.

All this bitching about Manieri, Stallings, and Laird. Real outrage should be directed squarely where it belongs, at MAC MARSHALL!

I don't have any issue going with Stallings there. Poche's pitch count was getting up and if Stallings is going to be our closer you have to be able to depend on him to come in and get you those three outs.
I also wouldn't have had an issue with sending Poche back out there.

But your lack of confidence in Stallings could be applied to Poche as well. I don't think either call is "wrong"... but I think in that instance, he put in his closer to close the game. 11 saves, 1 blown. Maybe not well rested, and that's where it went wrong. idk

Idk man he has just been shaky as frick since Houston. I certainly don't trust hIm at this point. The top of the 9th was kinda long so that's the only reason I can see to pull JP
