I presume I'll have to resort to harvesting rally pix.

@LSUbaseball under the threat for large hail. Some lightning spotted. Take shelter!

Can't say I blame him. That would be a question I ask Paul tho during the break or post game. Do you look at the weather forecast and take that into account or just play pitching matchups regardless of weather? Tough call either way.

It was supposed to be worse tomorrow. PM didn't want to delay Lange's start for the conference tourney or perhaps have him miss starting altogether.

And the day Paul chooses to pitch by committee for the weather that doesn't come, he gets roasted for that. I have no qualms with pitching Lange.

Also, the Lightning rule is wayyyyyy too extreme. 8 miles is a joke, should be a half mile.

Hell, let's just require someone to be hit before they stop play.

Yep. Starting Lange was the right choice.

Right, because the current rule is in place because someone just arbitrarily decided to say "8 miles."

Hindsight would have been to run someone else out tonight and save Lange for the DH Saturday. In PM's defense, at game time it looked like we could play 5 or 6 before the main line got here. These severe cells popped up to the south about the same time as first pitch.

You have to take the SEC tournament into consideration as well. If we'd saved Lange for Saturday, he wouldn't have been available in Hoover until Friday, and we wouldn't want to get knocked out without Lange pitching at all.

I'll say Reid has been the biggest surprise for me. His first game I thought we were in bad shape. But the kid has become more comfortable as the season plays on, playing good defensively and finding his stroke at the plate.

My company uses 8 miles for the lighting rule for construction work. I have no problem with using it for LSU athletics.

This weekend is more important than Hoover.
