Gave up 1 TD in the second half.
I cant wait to see how many schools hold miss below 32 this year.
The defense *stopped* a running QB. They got hurt by a NFL QB in the air.
You cant win a natty scoring 24 pts.
Period.

BS, he coached so scared and shite the bed. Until he has his team ready in the first half in games like this, he will get deserved criticism. The TD right before the half was absolutely unacceptable and a back breaker.

He finished the game giving up 32.
How many teams on Ole Miss schedule are you willing to bet on giving up less than that this year?
He gets credit for the whole game. Yes the bad first half, but also the second half.

Some of it was chambliss is just that good….but that first half gameplan was fricking terrible and made it too easy for him. You can’t put yourself in a hole like that in a hostile environment and expect to win.
It’s one thing for Chambliss but if fricking Reed eats his lunch again we need to face that it’s not a talent but scheme issue with baker

His defense would've held them to less than 32 points if he would've pressured Chambliss more. Why he pressured him a few times then dropped back so far so many times is beyond me. Pressuring him was working nearly every single time they did so.

First half exists, the TD before halftime was unacceptable. Defense had been rested for 8 minutes. Ole miss had 1 minute and 0 time outs left. FG would have been okay, TD there absolutely unacceptable.
Also, every big game we have played in during Bakers tenure his defense gets absolutely shredded. Thats a fact.

I love how because the 2nd half happened, and Ole Miss called a more conservative game, you can just excuse the first half. That makes sense.

Wonderful! Maybe he'll get the "SEC Second half assistant coach of the week award".
Unfortunately, there are two halves in a football game, and in the first he allowed 24 points and nearly 300 yards. Including a critical drive at the end of the half where OM walked 75 yards down the field in less than 2:00 to respond to an LSU TD that seemingly had quieted some of the OM momentum.
The offense had more than its share of struggles too, but the defense was a HUGE dissapointment

How is this your standard for excellence?
There will be many teams that score less than 24 on ole miss this year too. Does that mean leavitt played well?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Texas and Georgia hold them to less than 32 this year. They have the guys that can get pressure up the middle and I don’t think OM has anyone that truly scares them.

The problem is that his approach in the first half left us in a deep hole. He failed to make adjustments until halftime.
As for chambliss an NFL qb...maybe backup. You have to remember he came back for his 6th year because of his nfl grade. His height is an issue.

Defense helps the offense and vice versa. Neither did their part in 1H.
