Totally disagree.

Woody and high achievers don't think like that. Woody still got schooled.

If you fire a guy you fire the fricker. Every single person who has ever been in management can tell you why our current situation is the worst possible.

Either wait til the end of the season to announce, or you part ways.

"riding the season out" is a terrible way to look at this, if that's what LSU is doing. You take steps now to shore things up.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But can you at least tell us why you feel the way you do? Otherwise, it just comes across as an emotional post-game melt.

O finishing is a major reason why he was fired in the first place.

And if we win yesterday Woodward is a genius. Hindsight it 20/20 & it doesn’t matter what we think the decision has been made & that decision wasn’t made with this year in mind.

Moving on to the process of evaluating new coaches is better done earlier than later with A) Other top coaching vacancies already known to be open, and
B) December recruiting cycle ending so we limit the damage to this years’ great class

I think it was stupid to make it public before you have a replacement ready. Now we have to spend a couple more months without a coach.

That’s what you heard on the radio. You don’t have any source in the football or athletic administration building that told you that. The guys that need to go immediately are Peetz and Jones!!!

When a company fires you have about 10 minutes to pack some personal items and they will send the rest of your stuff to you. There is a reason for that. Coach O should have been let go immediatly. I saw some poor coaching decisions. The going on 4th down when he should have kicked the FG. And if you were going to let York try the 55 yards then run the ball and not pass to make the FG shorter. Little things like that.

I can't understand the reasoning of keeping O till the end of the season.

Woodward is to blame too. That contact extension should not have been for 6 years.

If he was not there, LSU would have won.

Easily.

Is that your line of thinking?

Agreed. No one was beating down the door for O.

I’m glad there’s no interim. It’s eliminates the possibility of another idiot on this staff falling into the HC position. After all, that’s how we ended up with O.
There is ZERO chance that Woodward would pick an interim coach for the full time job.

Could you imagine the melt if Woodward, after firing Orgeron with a $17 million buyout, turned around and hired someone else on staff? I doubt he would last the week.

I’m sure having a couple of minimum wage workers under your management is the same as Woody and his multi-million dollar operation rofl

I would have preferred him to just leave. But I think Woodward did what is best for the program in the long term. If this was the only way for O to go quietly, you make it happen. The only thing worse than having O finish the season is to have him free to frick up the program from the outside. As long as he’s still coaching, LSU has some control on the situation. What some don’t want to admit is that, this season was fricked before they let him be his own Interim.

just because the numbers are bigger doesn't mean there isn't gross buffoonery going on in our entire AD, and Woody is as guilty as anybody, if not more so

The fact that Woody announced after half a season, gave full payout AND allowed Orgeron to finish the season is enough to doubt Woody.

These are very poor operational mistakes.

Eh. Maybe, maybe not. Have to disagree about the "firing" comment though. In the corporate world, there's actually quite a bit of "you're welcome to stay here at full salary for the next six months, but you should have something else lined up after that".
