Why is the Chief of LSUPD not catching more flak? The article gives several examples of botched investigations and failure to abide by LSU policy in not reporting the crimes to the Title IX office

I've actually dealt with Verge on a couple of occasions. Very professional and nice. I don't know anything about this story however.

ESPNU radio

ESPNU Radio doesn't move the needle nationally. Who listens to ESPNU Radio? I'm betting mostly dudes who are college football fans. That's not the audience that's going to provoke national outrage over any of these events.

This stuff isn't trending on Twitter, or landing on the ESPN home page (or even the college football home page), or being covered by any major news outlets.

So you didn’t know Verge or even who he is, yet your concerns about LSU’s athletics should concern us?

You start a thread about your ignorance.

OK

I have had the pleasure of meeting Verge on several occasions and have had some good conversations with him. Great guy and a very important part of our administration. He does not deserve to be the bad guy in this situation and I hope he comes out of it okay. Let's stand by him.

College athletics should go back to club sports. At the minimum, stop allowing academic waivers.

Babying these kids just so they'll play sports has gotten so far out of hand.n

They're using a shiny hook (the last FBS champion) to draw in support for their agenda it's pure politics

And by most accounts great at his job.
Post the football schedules starting when the "Aramark Man" (Do not want to even type his name) put him in charge of scheduling and have a look at the out of conference teams on those schedules. Horrendously weak.

Pucker up and kiss Mr. Morial's derriere though because he's an ex-LSU football player. (As all the worshipping and idolizing Pump Lumps specialize in doing so well)

I have no real beef with him compared to the veritable limitless number of Associate, Assistant and Deputy Athletic Directors in the LSU Athletic Department.

Now his wife’s politics are repugnant to me personally. But that’s not a value judgement on Verge or his spouse.
