So I had no clue who this guy was until this article, but he is the “executive deputy director of athletics.” In the article it says Ausberry and Davis had a mentor/mentee relationship. Ausberry admits that he believed Davis because he thought it was just a gf and bf situation. Text were exchanged between Davis and Ausberry after incidents. Looks like Ausberry could’ve broken a federal law too. It also talks about how Miriam Segar, reported a IX claim, but then four months to report it to the police. “The Bootleg PINK”needs to educate herself.

How have you never heard of Verge??
Posted on 11/18/20 at 6:55 pm to terriblegreen
I am young and didn’t watch him play or really track his progress.

He’ll be sacrificed for this. He’s a good dude and will be fired in an inconsequential act but it won’t save the rest.

It’s odd, y’all want this to be something big so bad.

Verge Ausberry is a class act. He is a true LSU tiger through and through.

Verge is an awesome person. Really is. And by most accounts great at his job. If he gets sacrificed for this, it's a shame.
People need to just stop talking about this and maybe it'll get less traction.

Unless you’re on this site everyday, you either aren’t aware of this, or you saw a passing article on ESPN or yahoo on Monday. This is not what some are making it out to be.

Maybe the verge portion but I’ve had all my work friends (not in Louisiana) ask me about the yahoo story
Sucks.
Sucks.

Seriously. I can't find one single mention of this on the ESPN college football main page.

I posted this last night, but this isn't nearly the national story that people on this board think it is. I assume y'all are being beaten over the head non-stop by the local media down there, but there's zero coverage of this up here in Tennessee. The Baylor comparisons are laughable.

Agreed, it’s barely a blip nationally, but whatever. Some on this board act like the whole university is getting fired.

Ausberry is not the only ones fooled by Davis. Jim Bernhardt and his family took Davis in, paid for IMG and helped him like a son. Unfortunately their Blindside moment was not as happy an ending.

ESPNU radio has talked about it multiple times a day this week.
this ain’t going away

So this young man manipulated multiple people or just made a couple of bad decisions or a combo

You don’t know who Verge is and SHE needs to educate herself?!?!
Posted on 11/18/20 at 7:29 pm to 610man
Now because of mismanagement almost at every level, we could lose top recruits in other sports, such as softball, track, or volleyball. It’s sad that this happened.

Jesus H, calm down. Of all things to be concerned about with this, it’s recruiting. Let me tell you I doubt very strongly any recruit gives a frick about this.

Maybe if I was writing a big piece that goes on a national media site I would educate myself on the entire situation. So yea she needs to educate herself.
