interesting. Where would Clemson have come on this list just a few short years ago? I know it's subjective, but I think an argument could be made for LSU to be over FSU and USC on this list considering where the programs are.

I'm gonna guess USC and FSU are more desirable because expectations for success are so low these days, so coaches feel less heat.

I'd definitely put us ahead of Clemson and Oklahoma from a recruiting standpoint and ahead of FSU and USC overall due to facilities and fan support.

I would put us ahead of FSU, Clemson, and USC

fsu and Clemson dont have the recruiting or resource advantages like LSU does

USC struggles with being in a saturated market and being a private school whose admin seems to want to take a step back from being a football powerhouse

I would think Los Angeles would be a more desirable place to live to a recruit than Baton Rouge.

Georgia at #1 is a joke.

I can't really argue LSU at #10, much. It's clearly ahead of FSU. But, other than that, I think the list is fine.

Eh, it's really not if you think about it. If they ever had an elite coach, they would easily become unstoppable. Georgia is a VERY VERY talent rich state with ZERO in-state competition in reality - GT goes after different guys and is more limited in who they can even take. Think about the other talent rich states - they have major competition within the state.

After having lived in GA most of my life, I can assure you the state is extremely pro UGA too. Really not much different than LA is to LSU.

If it’s not number 1, then fake news.

That list is shite and written by someone that doesn’t know Jack .
There is really no difference between LSU, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State

This is a terrific list. I dont see Ga #1 around 6th is where id have them. I do believe LSU has surpassed FSU. Michigan wd be ahead of both on my list. But overall hard to argue much with this.

I had this argument with a Tennessee friend of mine. I think an argument can be made for LSU to be at 7/8.

Georgia #1 is a joke. Not even a top 5 in my opinion.

Unstoppable, huh? ok I guess they don't have an elite coach, and haven't had one for 40 years.

I didn't say it wasn't a good job...it's not the #1 job.

Putting LSU 10th is a joke. In terms of the job, itself, and not where LSU ranks in national titles, LSU football is one of the greatest opportunities a coach could have. You have a talent rich state with no real competitors within the state to have to deal with, and you have Texas kids right next to you, who you can poach.

Aside from that, it HAS been a very successful program for a very long time, even though it's had some down turns here and there. This article seems like it's just going by current on-field performance, instead of looking at all of the factors that make a program a great job to have.

Clemson made the turn when we lost to them in Atlanta. Suddenly made them very relevant.
