I would flip flop A&M and Florida, and god only knows what will happen at Arkansas.

Athlon has your Fighting Tigers finishing 7-5 overall, 4-4 in the SEC.

It’s close. 8-4 or 9-3 is possible. Just another failed season in my book, if that’s the outcome. But I’m not sure how anyone can see us in the playoffs this year, and ultimately that’s all that counts, right?

I love how people are discounting last year’s national runner up, UGA, no. 10 team AU and No. 13 Miami, which has 15 starters returning, but are claiming that LSU, which is replacing its OC, QB, and top 2 RBs, among others, will be a juggernaut.

I would love it if this were true but hate to be an accessory to a delusion.

i predicted 4 to 5 losses BEFORE burrow. even with him i cannot see this team with not at least 3 losses. west? playoffs? forget about it. and that is the bottom line really.

I assume at 7-5 Orgeron wouldn't keep his job after that right?

Also I will say LSU vs. Texas A&M is like LSU vs. Bama. Nobody predicts us to beat Bama until we actually go out and do it, rightfully so. I have no idea where some people think Texas A&M will beat us. They haven't come close to beating us in the past few years, so why is this year any different? Until they actually do it, no one should think they will beat us.

He's mediocre, a poor negotiator as to his own salary and one of us.

My bet is he'd survive.

We wouldn't be where we are as a State today if we didn't embrace mediocrity.

I really don't know why everyone is so high on Miami and A&M, I just don't see it...against equal or superior talent, both teams last year wilted in the crunch.....

Well tamu got a new coach, and LSU looked like poop against troy, state, uf, syracuse and ND... all less talented teams.

Exactly, well so and so lost to so and so and didnt look so great in their bowl game or spring game.

Well that describes LSU, except weve lost more than they have.

The ceiling is 10-3, in my opinion.

And why is that a bad thing? We haven't won 10 games since 2013. It would be welcome.

10-3 four years in a row? Okay, we need to tweak something so we can make a playoff run.

Miami is not in the same league, talent wise, as Bama and UGA.

Is LSU in Miami's league of talent?

Without daisy-chaining (Miami beat ND, LSU lost to ND), can you tell me LSU looked better than Miami did last year? Also, Miami is returning 15 starters, LSU does not.

Not sure if LSU will beat Florida. Mullen did well at Miss St considering the limited talent he had to work with. He will turn Florida into a winner with the talent in the home state.
