have even heard that O has mentioned to multiple people privately that Pelini May have not been the answer as DC.
This is correct but I think you’re leaving a little nugget of truth out.
AD donors are not happy with O either. I don’t think anyone wants him fired at this point but the shite with hiring his bbq buddies ain’t gonna cut it anymore.
His one and only focus as HC other than recruiting is hire THE BEST coordinators and position coaches.
Last season was the greatest ever but that is only going to buy him so much goodwill once the L’s start racking up.
Many donors fear that, in fact, last year was lightning in a bottle. Brady, Burrow and Aranda were the perfect storm.
Those guys were amazing and that guy Aranda, he’s responsible for 2017 & 2018 not falling to pieces. He was involved with more than people know. He didn’t just coach defense.
I say good for O for wanting to get rid of Pelini but shame on him sucking Bo off and describing his defense as “way ahead last year”, “best defense I’ve seen”. All the while acting like Aranda was a chump.
O will have to work himself out of this pickle. Nobody’s throwing a big chunk of in the pot quite yet.

I’m sure not, but I can guarantee that O is not already having this conversation with people, hours after the game when they are flying home.

Then WHY offer such a huge contract?
I mean, at least make him earn it the 1st year.

I’m usually on board with Vol but I don’t believe this. As bad as we’ve looked, they’re not going to move Pelini after 3 games.

Fuk O it’s his shite let me sleep in it. He can’t get these guys ready to beat the dregs on talent alone. Fuk him

This right here. O should not escape criticism. He’s done all the hiring and is supposed to be the CEO. He can’t just blame his hires and be golden. If we had just an average season last year he’d be on a major hot seat. Instead he got a generational talent and loaded roster but had little input in assembling. O will ultimately have to be held responsible for his actions.

O can’t keep hiring coordinators and realizing they were the wrong choice after only a few games. Woodward needs to do the coordinator hires for O going forward. Sorry O but you’ve fricked up too many times. Canada, E, now Pelini and Linehan. His only good hire has been Brady, who fell into his fricking lap

I see what you're saying, but Pelini isn't an Orgeron BBQ buddy.
Posted on 10/10/20 at 6:56 pm to VolTiger13
Well, O hired him. So.....
Posted on 10/10/20 at 6:56 pm to VolTiger13
He was a bad hire. Time to cut bait.

Fair but I appreciate a guy who has the balls to eradicate the problem quickly

No, Woodward should not be hiring coordinators. If another coordinator has to be hired, O needs to be fired.

LSU doesn't have this endless pile of cash to hire and fire expensive coaches every year if they aren't amazing.
And yes, if LSU fired Pelini this year, ANY DC will want a HUGE buyout to come here, because there's no loyalty here.
That situation would have LSU firing Canada and Pelini after one season, and the Head Coach trashing the old DC months after he leaves. LSU is in a lose-lose situation right now.

If I’m being generous the dude is right 30% of the time. I wonder what my batting average would be?

There was nothing wrong with Canada. O wouldn’t let him run his offense hense the Troy loss. Why hire a guy that was a head coach at an fcs team as your dc. And not even a good one at that.

It was after ms state doc. Ya know... when we gave up 600 yards passing and never changed coverages...
