When Jobert hit his home run to make it 18-4 in the top of the 9th inning I told my wife I was starting to like our chances of winning...

I was feeling very confident after the 2nd. We put up a 6 spot, and Hurd came out on fire to shut them down after a shaky 1st. He looked a lot more confident and was hitting his spots.

Once we had 10, I felt it was done considering we still had Coop, Guidry & Skenes in the pen

Not till it was over for me. The point to the finger stuff was killing me.

O’Sullivan said after the game that not being able to go deep with their starters hurt. Even when we got blown out on Sunday, they had to pull their starter after, what, 3 innings? Dugas’s long at bat really hurt them. They had to play guys they were trying to save.

Truly a college baseball ropeadope. Despite the blowout they actually hurt themselves for the final.

I was tense until the very last pitch.

When I realized that even if they hit three grand slams in the 9th they’d still be losing

Every single position player that had an AB got a hit.

By the end of the 3rd inning.

When Hurd got in a groove in 3rd and 4th inning and started mowing them down, knowing he could get to 6 or 7th inning, then knowing Skenes was available behind him. Also, could tell LSU would score more as Florida had used up a few pitchers.

When Florida's side arm reliever had given up four runs and Sully gave no indication of even a mound visit. I knew right then that he had conceded.

I think everyone had a hit a run and an RBI

That is correct. And Jones.

I don't ever want to upset the baseball gods and start celebrating early. But, last night after we went up 10-2, I said only to myself, WE GOT THIS!

Same here but I still didn't line the fireworks up in the front yard until mid 9th...

When they dogpiled on the mound

Seriously, I'm a notorious pessimist when it comes to watching LSU sports, and I have a tendency to take it too far. Last night when they hit the HR off Guidry in the 8th, wife jokingly said "Oh no, comeback is on". I got pissed and walked out the room for a batter.

Eventually came to my senses and walked back in, made a joke out of it and enjoyed the rest of the game. Realized that getting worked up was just going to cost me post-game celebration sex, so I had to tone it down. I then proceeded to stay up till 2 am watching replays and scrolling message boards, so I still messed it up anyway

When Hurd got out of the 1st inning without more damage and came back better in the 2nd.

That homer he gave up in the 1st didn't bother me at all--Hurd's MO in several of his outings (even when he started pitching well) has been to give up a HR then settle down and dominate. That Georgia game kept coming to mind when he did get tagged in the 9th but was untouchable thereafter.

JTs first hit. The eruption in the stadium and a very high stoke inducing moment for the entire team.
I’ve personally been a harsh critic of his the last 2 years, but he set it off last night for everyone!
It was really cool what Paul Maineri and Jay Johnson each separately said in the post game when they saw him after game 2.
