Because we haven't seen Nuss but one real time and that was last year. I guess you can count Auburn since it was a close game and he looked fine. He looked fine against NM as well.

I feel like you're forgetting a game. I'm not positive, but I am going to do a little research and will get back with you.

I'd rather have 56% down field passing than 70% behind the los passing.

You guys are scared to death of nuss getting a real chance. But hey, enjoy this pathetic offense under JD. It won't change with Les Kelly

Him being our leading rusher while not throwing it more than 15 yards downfield is what is killing our rushing attack.

Our OL getting their assets kicked at the LIS doesn’t exactly help either.

Now I didn't want to throw him away for a terrible outing and I have hope that he can get better, but if that was against by far our weakest opponent, I'm not sure what you're expecting against much better competition.”

He did fine vs. NM and Auburn…both better than Southern!

Huh? I’m an LSU fan. I want LSU to win.

I don’t give shite who it is. I’m positive Nuss doesn’t give us a better chance at winning because I’ve seen him play and he is not good. And I also trust our head coach.

Bullshite. Boutee is disgusted with him from day 1. He isn't alone. Recs aren't even engaged in the games because they've been open too many times to look back and see Daniels tucking it. If you can't see what Daniels lacks, then something else is at play here or either you are blind

The problem is Nuss hasn't done much different when he is in there. He will let it rip more, but the accuracy hasn't been there. Last year when he played almost the whole game against Arkansas, our long pass for the day was 29 yards, we scored 13 points in an OT game and he had 2 interceptions (one that ended the game).

This year, his first playing time was against Southern and that could not have possibly gone worse, so I'm sure that outing hasn't been completely forgotten yet by coaches seeing him in a live game for the first time. He looked sharp against NM St., but in limited time against Auburn managed to tick off Kelly when he threw the ball away too fast on 3rd down. If he would show some consistency or accuracy when he gets in, then I think the staff would be more willing to see more of what he could do. He has a fantastic arm, but that's only useful if you can be accurate and smart.

Hey Sammy, has it ever dawned on you that when teams stack the box that's going to happen. Why do you think Tenn stacked the box? I'd like to hear why you think that is?

The line looked really good against State and Auburn btw. Tenn brought a new scheme and you better get used to it because it worked perfectly. They know JD can't beat them with his arm.

My god dude he literally had 3 perfect passed dropped and one thrown away where Kelly ripped him. You know that though.

No kidding it's unrefined. Have you watched Daniels throw? Why do you think that group looks like they would rather be anywhere but on the field with Daniels. They don't even talk to him anymore.

This right here. You can see it in the WR play that, every time a pass play is called, the WR’s look as if they know there is a better than not chance the ball won’t come their way and the play will end with a sack or a JD run.

Seems like that may be hard for him to do since he is the one that went and got him.

Pride is a sin.

It's not about BK, it's about rebuilding a program.

Does anyone on this board think JD is the Joe Borrow of 2018?

He'll most certainly NOT be the Joe Borrow of 2019 IF he's stays next year.

Ok, sit back and watch the rest of the year with JD. Tenn laid out the blueprint. JD can't pass. Teams will sell out to stop the run. It's fixing to get ugly. Watch.

And even if that were true, the staff feels that Nuss gives them a lesser chance to win than Daniels. It's literally that simple.

I don't have a boy, except the rantard I'm schooling in this post.
I want to see them turn Howard loose for a series or 2 instead of handoffs, so maybe Walker is my boy.

He had a bad game against Southern. It was as if he thought he had to force it against a terrible team since he finally got a chance.

NM and Auburn he was accurate. Nuss haters point to 2/6 but he was on target 5/6. I think 9/10 nm...but I don't really count NM. He needs reps with the 1s

Yes, he played very well against NM. He was 2-6 for 5 yards against Auburn and got chewed out by Kelly though. Every outing counts when you are trying to be a realistic option for coaches to turn to. And although Daniels clearly holds on to the ball too long, they haven't seen him have the kind of disaster outing that Nuss had against Southern, so Nuss needs to show good consistency when he plays to sort of get that memory out of their minds.

Stan- I think you are correct. When Nuss did not play the last couple of weeks, this appears to be BK lacking confidence in him. At this point, unless something changes, 80% chance he is gone pecan before next season...

Walker is my boy too. I just know nuss has a lot more upside and talent as a QB than JD. He has the size and arm to be an NFL QB ..just needs that gunslinger mentality coached out of him. But yeah, you really schooling me on opinions....from both.

Taking an objective look at stats and looking at Boutte, a receiver who, amongst all the experts, is a top 1-2 draftable receiver. Then look at Max Johnson’s stats here and Boutte’s stats in 2021 before his injury. It could 100% be scheme related but any objective observer has to conclude that JD has a lot to do with the lack of passing game success, especially considering Johnson and Boutte’s stats from last year.
