I heard it. The exception was for Paxton Kling or Brady Neal. He said they still left anyway.
The Mic Paul exception was just an allowance to stay on through Omaha

Yes, the exception was simply to be able to travel with the team to Omaha. All the other players that entered the portal were not allowed to be a part of the program at all from the moment they entered.

They weren't with the team even before they entered. Many of them were already playing summer ball when the portal opened.

Neither of them put their name in the portal and came back.
The only person the whole description applies to is Drew Bianco. He put his name in the portal, pulled it out and came back, and then transferred to Houston after the following season.

I believe Neal one of the guys he referred to a terrorist trying to hold you hostage which he was not going to do. Every situation and player is different.

We absolutely need another portal outfielder even if Stanfield returns.
Who else is there outside Curiel and Brown?
The transfers are all infielders or pitchers. Are Harden and Patrick (assuming he goes to college) ready to produce next year? There is no one else.

I think you missed the interview of Jay when he said once you go in the portal, you’re gone. You’re not welcomed back. He said he made one exception in advance for Mic Paul, but that was it.
Where can I find this?

I can't remember which interview it was but Jay 100% said that. I remember watching it.

My recollection of the recent discussion of that on here was he was referring to specific instances but left it open to a case by case basis.

It would be pretty irresponsible of Jay to not have it on a case by case basis. Of course, 90+% of portal entrants will not be welcomed back, but Jay is smart enough to know which players/people (teammates) he could welcome back.
I imagine Ashton would be a welcome back candidate, but I’m not in the locker room. There’s nothing to show he’s a bad teammate, there’s actually a lot of evidence to suggest he would be in that small percentage of portal entrants to be welcomed back.
