I mean..... LSU is due to win an opening game right? But it's at Clemson so I'm gonna say my confidence is kinda low.... but they are due right? Clemson has 5 projected first rounders and a solid veteran QB.... but LSU is due right?

I’m accepting starting the season off clawing out of an 0-1 hole, but that’s not terrible if we take care of business the rest of year. It’s just how we start seasons these days

What is in common on all 5 of those games is this - each of our opponents had already played a so-called "Week Zero" game.

I don't recall the second Fla. St. team nor USC having a week zero?

And Mississippi State did not either. But I do know Fla. St. No. 1 and UCLA both did.

Yeah he’s not correct.

And it wouldn’t be week 1 jitters so much as new coordinators figuring out communication and what players can do well week 1 for a lot of those first games. By week 2 it’s all in synch. This might be only the second time we have returned both coordinators over that stretch.

Ive been burnt, I refuse to do it again. My confidence level is a 2. You get a one for making a successful trip to the stadium

Honestly, Brian Kelly teams have never seemed well prepared for season openers. Never.

So, come to your own conclusion.

We are playing a legit top 10 team in the road with on of the top returning QBs and a great d line.

We have a new O line, a very questionable OC and a head coach who has shown no ability to have the team ready week 1.

I’m hoping for a win and I think k if we do win we will be a playoff team. But I’m preparing myself to start 0-1 again.

zero. I said I'll self-ban if LSU wins. This is a terrible matchup.

I guess under 50% simply because it’s a road game and Kelly starts slow.

Expectations are to win though. 2025 is the No Excuses tour for BK.

5-6.

OL will not be ready in Week 1 unless Sloan has Nussmeier getting the ball out of his hand very fast as Brady did with Burrow in 2019 AND Thompson, Moore & Bordelon are starting. Their playing experience is needed badly!

That 19 OL was not that great, but JB had JB releasing the ball quickly and IT WORKED!

The Defense this season SHOULD finally play up to traditional LSU standards. I like the defensive Coaching and Personnel. Guiidry was a great pick-up to come in and hold BBQ Buddy Jensen's hand coaching the Safeties. (Just like Atkins with Sly Croom [Davis] on Offense)

4/10 - Cautiously optimistic

-On the road at Clemson
-New O-Line v. Great D-Line
-Opening Game

I assume we will lose until Kelly proves he can win one of these

Probably a 4. It's a 50/50 game but we absolutely suck in season openers so I drop a point for that.

Yep, I'm like Wiltfong with a 6.

But I may change it 2 hours before game time

Until Brian Kelly wins a week 1 game against anyone, not very high.

It’s a 50/50 game, imo, so I’m 90% confident.

I do it every year man, by the time this kicks off I will be 100% confident we win every game.

Every year.
