I think he can see the writing on the wall and understands that O is incapable of being successful based on history and the results thus far. In that case he is ready to move on in the quickest manner in order for LSU to get back to the top.
How can anyone who calls themselves an LSU fan not want LSU to be at the top of college football? I don't understand this mindset.
Coach O is like a gangrenous limb. You have amputate the entire limb to save the rest of the body. Or, you can hang on to that gangrenous limb until it kills the body.
A win over Florida ensures the gangrenous limb stays attached a little longer. Maybe too longer for the body to recover.

When Saban left for Miami, if you had given me the option to have Les Miles go 6-6 for the '05 and '06 seasons and the LSU administration accept Saban's offer to come back to LSU, I would have taken it in a heartbeat. I guess trading those two 2-loss seasons for 6-loss seasons and the firing of Miles after the '06 season in order to get the best coach in college football history back at LSU would mean I'm not a "true LSU fan".

I hope we lose all of our games; fire all of the coaches and hire some new ones.
then, I hope the new coaches lose all of their games.
i'm proud to be the NEW LSU fan. let's lose everything!
you people are fricked up.

I would never pull against the Tigers, no matter what was on the line.

Im always going to pull for LSU to win, no matter the circumstances. What kind of shite is this? Are there seriously true LSU fans out there that want the tigers to lose? Seriously? If so, I wouldn't consider myself an LSU fan if I were you.

I think coach Zero is a trainwreck and will destroy our football program. However, I cannot and will not ever pull against my Tigers. I will be happy as shite if we beat Florida's arse.

I always want to win once the game starts. I've never been able to bring myself to root against the Tigers.

I get that, but why not root for coach O to turn things around a succeed? Is it a personal thing?
I personally want O to become the greatest college coach in history. Why? Because he's LSU's headman.

If we manage to beat florida, then we truly do have a whole new outlook on how this season plays out. Especially with auburn coming to town the next week. Hell yeah I want LSU to stomp the hell out of florida. If we go to gainesville and beat florida while looking good doing it, this team may catch it's stride and get some momentum at just the right time. This is what I'm hoping and praying for...NEVER AN LSU LOSS FFS.

Because I've seen and heard enough to know that it isn't going to happen that way.
I want LSU to win championships not win just enough games for O to keep his job year over year.

Win = good for the short term but gives O some breathing room
With Mississippi State having two SEC loses...LSU could still win the West and the Conference Championship. Why would any LSU fan pull for a loss?

You play to WIN THE GAME!

Not to offend but to even ask the question is absurd.

If we beat UF, we can will 6 or 7 games. That's it. Still not happy with Zero but I will not be happy with a loss ever.

frick Florida!
Lose to someone else
Lose to someone else

So you all want Ed O to stick around? That's not what I'm reading in the other threads. How else do you get rid of him then if not from losing games?

WIN... What a stupid question
However, I was at peace when Auburn won and Les was fired... It was time for him to go, should have been the end of the previous season. If that would have happened we would have Mullen or a much better coach than we have

Hoping for a Win but not counting on one due to the D and O line depth.

This. I can't stand the parochial, simple-minded "no true fan would want them to lose" tripe. I counter that no true fan would want the program run like this. O never belonged as head coach of a program like LSU. The faster he is gone, the better.
