Are the 7 & 18 traditions dead?

If not dead, I at least feel that they've been greatly diminished over the last few years. Some will say that they need to die anyway, but I disagree with that.

Considering its a tradition started by the team I don't think it really matters what fans think about it.

There were two #18s this past season. And now that it's the offseason, there will probably be weekly threads about which players will get the numbers.

Define "dead".

The 18 tradition will not die, but we seriously need a stud playmaker to wear #7. Don’t care what anyone says, Chark didn’t do that jersey justice with dropped passes, muffed punts, and lackluster play

I have an autographed TM7 jersey, but I have it shadow boxed, not just on a hanger.
